"the schools so far to drive it's gonna take us forever" she shouts as she catch's up to me
i stop in her tracks and face her
"oh my" i shout as i drop my bag into the middle of the pathway
"do you not have anyone to take us?" she moans
i stop and think about it, i don't really have friends at school and i'm not really bothered by that because i really wanted to focus on school

"yes, i do, actaully" i say very slowly as i turn and face her
she smiles as i grab my bag and pull my phone out

i press the call button and wait three rings until he finally picks up
"kenzie? what are you doing calling me now? shouldn't you be at sch-
"oh shit you don't have a car"
"nope, look i know this is a lot to ask but can you please pick me and my sister up? she's the same age of your brother? he goes to the school right?"
"yeah he's with me, we just left, i'll be there in like 30 mins? idk if we will make it on time but it's fine"
"your the best, thank you!" i shout through the phone as i hang up
"he's coming" i smile to maddie as we head to the closest curb and sit down side by side
"are you gonna date ross?" she spits out after a few minutes in silence
"what no?" i shout back
"he likes you, you can tell" she smirks
"no maddie, we're only friends" i laugh
i turn away to look down the other side of the road looking for ross and his brother
"see, looking for him already" she teases me
"oh shut up" i say turning back round laughing hitting her gently
it goes silent as our laughs both die down
"when he walked you upstairs last night, i saw his face, he was so happy kenz" she says in a serious voice
i look at her straight in the face with no emotion
i spot ross speeding down the street up to me and maddie sat on the curb
i smack her shoulder as she turns her head and i stand up grabbing my bag
"hey! get in loser" ross shouts out his window
i head to the front seat as i see ryland in the back seat, he obviously told ryland about maddie
"hey, don't call me a loser" i laugh as i slid into the car
"being honest" he smiled at me with one hand on the steering wheel
"ready?" he shouts looking into his mirror to see ryland and maddie in the back
