I was finishing up my food and I saw the gang come into the bar.

"Hey guys" I said covering my mouth and waving

"Where's the 18 year old?" Steve chuckled

"He's sleeping"

"We should wake him up surprise him" Two smirked

"It's not a good day for jokes" I said softly

"What happened to your head?" Johnny's eyes widened as he looked at the cut "did he-" I cut him off

"I'm fine, nothing happened I just fell,"

"That don't look like no fall" Ponyboy said

"I swear I'll kil-" Johnny started going up the stairs but I stopped him

"I finally got him to go to sleep, I'm not waking him up" I said to him

"What's wrong with Dal?" Soda asked me

"A lot of things happened in the last 24 hours, I'm glad I came last night if I didn't I don't know what could have happened" I sighed

"What happened?" They all sat down on the stools of the bar

"Dally's dad came beat him asked for money yelled at him then left, that's what Buck told me at least, he said that was the first time he's seen Dally shake in fear. He was going through it last night and then this morning he was mad that I wasn't leaving and well I don't want to leave if I do he'll go insane and I care about him a lot he was crying saying how much he hated his dad and just crying cause of him hurting me accidentally" The boys were speech less

"I don't think I'll be leaving today" I shook my head

"Oh yes you are he hurt you!" Johnny said loudly

"He was mad, he's so used to people leaving him, I'm not leaving! I don't care if he yells at me or pushes me again! I'm not leaving he's breaking apart. Last night the Dallas we all knew left you don't know what I saw! If you did you wouldn't leave either" I said to them

"Just tell him we stopped by to say happy birthday, here are some birthday gifts" they all gave me a packs of cigarettes

"He hurts you again you better leave" Johnny said to me

"He won't hurt me again"

"Yeah that's what Sylvia said, next thing you know Dally is chocking her"

"Well that's Sylvia, I'm Chantel"

"He doesn't deserve you but you don't care" Ponyboy sighed

"I'll see you guys tomorrow" I grinned and hugged them

"Call if anything" Darry said to me and I nodded and they are started leaving

"Dal is dangerous Elle" Johnny said staying behind "I don't trust him with you look he hurt you"
