UPON NIGHTFALL, aaron and michonne led daryl and the group to the exit. they were going to head straight for the kingdom - it was the best idea because carol needed to know what had happened to her son. maybe they could also be safe there.

aaron chose to spoke up as they paced along the road, "remember way back when i told you you'd make a great father?" he asked daryl, smirking slightly as the marksman glanced at him, "you got to skip the exploding diapers part, but i was right."

rosaline felt her cheeks burn slightly, he might not be skipping it after all she thought to herself.

"a lot's changed." daryl replied patting him on the shoulder., "back then, we were still building bridges."

michonne pulled rosaline in for a quick hug as the entrance opened, "take care."

"you too, michonne." she muttered, squeezing her tight.

daryl was the next to go, the woman repeated the same thing, "you too, thank you."

from a distance, judith was watching them depart. daryl nudged a rosaline who was fiddling with something in her pocket. the couple waved at her and the little girl returned the gesture, giving them a small smile.

"she's mad at me." michonne admitted. rosa gave her a sympathetic look. all that the woman wanted to do was give her a comfortable life and keep her childhood as long as possible; something that carl didn't have the luxury of.

a light sting poked at rosaline's heart.

"it's 'cause she don't know." the marksman clarified for her, "why don't you tell her?"

she scoffed slightly, "she's not ready. neither am i. she's a kid. she gets to keep being one as long as i can help it."

he placed a palm on her arm, "that's not just a little kid you got there."

with that, they all set off. daryl called the dogs over while rosaline walked beside connie. the mute woman gazed at her, arching a brow in question. in turn, rosa only replied with a shake of her head. she still hadn't done it - she was afraid.

as they track through the woods, connie suggests a small stop because they need to go about their business. daryl had no choice but to agree and took the two dogs to scout out the perimeter.

"why are we stopping?" henry questioned, scanning the area.

rosaline sighed, "just for a moment."

the woman nudges rosaline, showing her the notepad.
