The Grimes family lived a normal life, with their dad being the deputy sheriff, their mom staying home to look after the kids, where the oldest spent his time outside of school as a ranch hand on a nearby farm while his little brother went to school and did his chores, where they'd all end the night sitting around the table eating dinner. Or at least that's what it was like before their dad got shot and put into a coma, making Kayce the oldest a true man of the house like his mom Lori always feared. Especially as the world began to come to an end and the dead began coming to life and killing them, leaving with no choice but to run.
