Chapter 19: Answers

Was my scanner broken? was I wrong about this massive flow I picked up here? I could feel the disturbance and the energy but I could not see the flow. I looked around but could not find what was causing this gust of wind and high pressure.

Natasha slowly walked over to some stones that became lose during the commotion. She picked them up, almost as if she doubted herself.

What is she showing me? What is so special about these stones? She then walked a couple feet to the center of the room and tossed the stones into the air.
What we saw next was as equal to anything I've seen in this mysterious mountain.
The stones hit something, like a barrier and they disintegrated. I could not believe my eyes.

Atticus: "Do that again!"

Natasha picked up a few more stones and as she started tossing upwards into the same area I gently smacked my helmet to see if I could pick up what was going on. Again, as the stones reached their apex in the air they disintegrated.
My helmet still was not functioning at 100% or at least it was not picking up whatever was in the air.

Atticus: "What's going on up there?"
Natasha: "This is the source of the energy, the flow that you were sensing earlier."
Atticus: "How did you know this?"
Natasha: "The Chamber of Wonders showed me."

It was as I thought. I told Natasha to stand back and I flew up to epicenter of the source of this strange energy. I felt resistance and I couldn't break through but I remember what Lord Ominus said. I had to reach the center of the Chamber and this was it. I couldn't find the answers I needed until I pierced this barrier.
I pushed and fought with all my might to break through but nothing was working. I then cleared my head, channeled my energy and powered up. My mind was clear and I was focused on one question. I knew I had to find Lord Ominus and now I had a location to start. Space Ex headquarters to find this secret Super Max prison.
       This was no longer weighing me down, so what answers did I still seek? I knew my father was murdered and my mother was right, it definitely had to do with his work in the lab and what he knew. I knew I had to discover the truth behind all that I saw but there was still something holding me back. There was still a reason I had to reach the source of the Life Force of Old Earth.
         Why, why, why was I here? Why was I the Chosen one? Why am I the Golden Suit?
Again I started to spin as I raised my power level. Speed 149, 150, Strength 152, 153, Stamina 155, 156 and rising. My arms were outstretched 180 degrees horizontally. My hands started to glow and the Golden light shined bright inside me. I opened my mouth and let out an intense war cry that had been building.
        I saw Natasha take a few more steps back, the wind from the power, had her hair down now and dancing. She covered her face as dust picked up and some debris came hurling at her. Even in this focused state I was able to fire precise blasts clearing the rubble from striking her.
        This power now felt apart of me, it was all too familiar. I had became one with it. In this dark shallow cave, golden lightning flashed. I pressed my hands forward again to push against the barrier. I could now see beyond the barrier and it was a flow of energy. An enormous amount of energy that flowed in a circular motion like a river with a black hole in the middle of it.
        I saw the barrier open, it was as if a mirror shattered and the glass slowly fell. I was on the precipice of the Life Force, I took a step inside and then it all went black. A few seconds passed then there was a green flash, I was in a room with three green figures.
They resembled the Elders that were in the room the first time I spoke with Lord Ominus when I was just Atticus the disobedient kid. But these were different, these were High Priestists. I thought the only High Priestist was Lord Ominus. Who are these figures and where did they come from? What did they want from me?

They all spoke at once.

High Priestists: "Atticus, descendant of Golem, the Chosen one. We have broken our oath to Mother Nature herself and shared our identity and our greatest secret with you. For a millennia we have guarded, steered and protected human kind but now mans greed and thirst for power has gone beyond even the reach of the Elders.
Here is the Life Force of Old Earth, the power behind the Golden Suit. Only the purest of heart, the bravest and most selfless could be entrusted with this power like Golem before you. Lord Ominus trusts you and hoped you made it here. We've had to hide from the world in this Chamber but revealed ourselves to you.
The first of us, Lord Ominus has been taken, open your mind and allow us to fill you with his vision."
