"You doubt my Alpha genes?"

"...No."

The topic was forcibly dismissed as they left to get the product they had asked to me made. When they came to M40, they'd inadvertently met a man who crafts prototypes and devices depending on special requests; a bracelet they'd use to camouflage themselves and hide from Gazef's cousin, the current ruler of the Nurdyk people.

Thinking back, the both of them didn't need to hide like this a year ago.

Everything started many many years ago, when the Nurdyk people ruled the current galaxy. It was known to be the White Star Empire at that time. Their technology was so advance to the point that they felt there was no need traditional child birthing. They had perfected the craft of creating Alpha and Beta males with perfect genes. Unfortunately, they had not been able to produce a single female or Omega, when their military had mistakenly tried to invade a small blue planet called Alho in their quest to expand territory.

They did not expect the fast learning speed of the Alhoshian people. To sum it up, Nurdyk technology was leaked and the Alhoshian had used this to pave way for the creation of better weapons and had caught the Nurdyks off guard in battle. The loss for the Nurdyks  was too great, and they had to retreat. Ironically, the Alhoshian invaded their planets and respurces instead.

The previous White Star empire was debunked, and replaced by the Blue star empire, in respect to the Alhoshian's mother planet, Alho. They didn't change the name all because they wanted the Nurdyks to remember their loss every time they hear the empire's new name. Currently, the Nurdyks can't even think to retaliate as they're swamped with internal dilemmas still.

The previous Nurdyk emperor was Gazef's father. The empress had died because of an attack. His mother was not the late empress, but a mistress that did not gain recognition from the people—a kept woman. The people had greatly loved the late empress. Gazef's father feared having his mother targetted by the people, should they know and feel displeased. It's not that his love wasn't insincere. It's just that Gazef's parents fell in love at the wrong time, when there was war. Although it had been a few years since the empress died, Gazef's father still wanted to hide his mothet to protect her from criticism, pain and danger.

Gazef had thought that his father was ridiculous. If it was him, he'd show his lover to the world proudly.

Only now, when he had met Yu Yan did he understand his father completely. If you love the person so much, it's really intolerable to have so many eyes marveling and pleasing themselves at the sight of his Omega's beauty. He might lose it if that person wasn't safe. Gazef had the urge to hide Yu Yan from prying eyes. Sadly, now is not the time. The only reason Gazef can calmly let Yu Yan go was that they seemed qualified to protect his future wife.

When his father was killed by a coup d'etat, Gazef had escaped. Nevertheless, he was still crowned as a prince, despite his mother not having a title for herself.

The current emperor of Nurdyk was Gazef's cousin, Hazur.

Gazef was currently at large at his own home planet. He was forced to escape his cousin's assassination attempts along with his adjutant, until they had reached the lawless planet of M40, where even the Alhoshian government cannot reach.

Gazef had met a lot of unfortunate things, but it had to be said that after arriving at M40, his fortunes hace turned. Perhaps all the bad things were necessary just to make sure he arrived here, right now.

If so, Gazef can't help but be pleased with that thing called fate for the first time.

Aside from hiding, they also had another reason for going to M40. There was a rumor they'd heard that a female Nurdyk Omega was to be sold off in one of the black market's auction. They wanted to check the rumor's validity. Encountering the technician to make customized camouflage devices and meeting Yu Yan was just their goodluck.
