Alaska had recently been talking a lot less and it got to the point where he rarely talked at all. Whenever he did talk his voice seemed highly feminine and shaky, as if he had been straining his voice for so long or faking a voice. He didn't seem any different other than that though. He was still clingy to Mass, committing crimes, taking care of everyone, snuggling his dog, etc.
Everyone got used to it, thinking it was just another one of his things that's linked to his mean tail healing and coping.
One day you walk into a room and see Alaska being pressured and yelled at by another person (someone older than him) to use his voice.
