Love that could have been,
Had we let go of the selves,
Selves that wanted it all,
Selves that chanted it all.
All of me, little of you, every time;
My needs, My life, and My Everything,
A little bit of you that too was mine,
Does love live on a one-way street,
Where all for me is the only way.That you walked away made me hollow,
That you didn't turn back pushed me to the deep from shallow,
That you gave me a heartache as a gift of love,
A heartache I created with my own self-love.
I deserve to be empty,
I am without empathy,
You are my heartache,
You spared me my faith.
