The little Goddess could see the busy buzzing of flying books from the shelf, changing places with each other, and occupying empty places here and there. The closer a book was to finishing, the higher it placed upon the shelf. The closer it was to turning into energy that fed the Gods, and afterwards, the Gods of writing begin to build worlds again when there is a deficit of energy. It was a endless cycle.

Prior to the part-timer's interview, the little Goddess had snatched a newly born book from the lowest levels of the thriving shelf and swapped the book covers with the barren shelf that only housed one. The lonely incomplete book was left unfinished by one certain unpopular God of writing in the upper levels of Heavens. It was a very modern world that talked about galaxies, space pirates, and star empires, but as it was a genre that was a bit new in the making, the unpopular God had left it half-done.

'What a waste though', the little Goddess thought as she skimmed over the lowest level of the thriving shelf to look for the unfinished disguised book. She had read half of it and was entranced by it. If the unpopular God had finished it, she knew it had the potential to become a bestseller! A strong independent world, that other Gods in the highest realm would love to visit. Once a world was finished, it would bring years upon years of energy to Heaven's Realm, and only then would the Gods be able to enter them. Of course, Heaven's Library gains its income mainly from the fee from the rich spoiled Gods that have nothing to do but sight-see in the million independent worlds that this library has produced.

Sad to say, that bright future may not happen to this book as the original book was unfinished, and the world inside was unable to find its own completion, much less create another world trajectory.

But! But... The little Goddess felt unwilling to let the recently classified rejected world trajectory be destroyed.

Her hands unconsciously reached out to grab the book but paused when she realized the space was empty.

'Huh? It's not here?'

The first reflex of the little Goddess was to check the only book present on the opposite barren shelf. And yet, it was the same story of a male doctor in a modern world. If so.. then, where did t the space pirates and star empires book go?

"I finally found you, you slacker!"

A voice interrupts her reverie, but as she was unable to remove herself from the state dumbfoundedness, she stared teary-eyed at the other person, holding the rejected book.

"Overseer", she weakly called out. "That world trajectory 421098 for shelf A631C, where did it go?"

Feeling as if something was wrong with the little Goddess' tone, the Overseer's anger subsided by half only to ask, "What do you mean where? Ah, 421098? It was classified as a book of stagnant world this morning so I entered it into the roster that the new part-timer I interviewed earlier. Quite the handsome fellow I may say, and he...what's wrong with you?"

"Overseer", the little Goddess cried as she feebly offered the 'rejected book' to the other Goddess.

Tensely, the Overseer took the book. It couldn't be what she thought, right? Her little subordinate wouldn't do such a stupid thing as swap book covers right?

Haha...Ha...

No, she really did have the capacity.

The Overseer stared wide-eyed at the pages of the book in her hands. This was the world of the male doctor. Realization hit her as she found that it was too late. She glanced back at the little Goddess in front of her.

As the little Goddess pitifully cried, "I was wrong", in a wailing I'm-about-to-be-fired voice, the Overseer can't help but recall the part-timers excited face as he thought he'd be entering a modern world of modern medicine.

Sure, it was still a modern world, but...this really isn't what he signed up for, isn't it? but, it was too late indeed. The part-timer had already entered the rejected world.

_+_+_

Author: Welp, here's another story with an atrocious cover. This was a flash of inspiration and I thought that maybe, Heaven's Library would go electronic and then boom~! The systems are born ;-;

Anyways, I still need to create a chapter for my other book Videre, so this might take a lot of time to update. I wasn't even planning on starting this immediately. I planned to write and then publish after Videre is finished, but that...that may take a few years haha, and I was a bit fatigued on writing it sometimes with all those first povs and 3rd pov and complex stuff, so I wanted something light-hearted.

Please don't think too much on the plot. I just want to have fun writing this haha. Anyways, happy reading~!
