The Ger Is A Part Timer [BL]

The book at the far left looked to be a book about a supernatural world of demi-humans. The second one looked similar to his own life, but it was focused upon a young lady that had successfully earned the right to be the first female General. The third and last book at the far right was a book about a modern world where the male protagonist seemed to be a doctor, judging by the background and the title. Yu Yan was most interested at this book as he had yet to practice his hands on medicine.

"Congratulations for successfully passing the screening of becoming a Heaven's part-timer! You have been chosen among a million of your peers and will be given a chance to reincarnate a different world of your choosing", the voice announced inside his head.

"Part-timer?" Yu Yan gave up looking for the origin of the voice. He had guessed that if the other person wanted to show themselves, they would have done so from the very start.

"Yes!"

"Didn't I just die? Is this what the phenomena of dreaming before one dies?" Yu Yan speculated, his hands on supporting his chin as he thought deeply. He completely ignored the other's existence as he poured himself over his thoughts and theories.

The female voice chuckled gently. 

"Yes, you have indeed died. You, among the million of souls in your world, have undergone screening to see who is qualified to be a part-timer at Heaven's Library. If you have questions, please feel free to ask them."

Yu Yan obliged and started asking, "What are the qualifications are the prerequisite for your screening?"

"Generally, all those who were able to stimulate the potential sons and daughters of the world are qualified for screening. And from that list, we choose only one person that is most qualified in every aspect. It's actually quite a hard job to do. It's a good thing the We've upgraded and are currently using systematical units at present. Who knows, maybe one day we'll all go systematical and Heaven's Library might physically cease to exist." The female voice laughed, not the least bit bothered to share such information with Yu Yan.

Yu Yan guessed that they might be trying to gain his trust by providing such information, but that was simply his conjecture. For all he know, maybe the female voice was  actually friendly.

"What's Heaven's Library?"

"That, I am unable to answer in depth. All you need to know is that Heaven's Library is where the different worlds of different times diverge. Each book shelf represents a world, and each book represents a world trajectory completely different from the other trajectories."

"Then, these three books?" Yu Yan glanced at the books. He was still quite cautious in touching them.

Upon noticing his reluctance, the female voice cheerfully told him that he could see for himself the content of the books. Yu Yan grabbed the nearest book; the second one. Skimming through, he found one peculiar thing.

"It's not finished?"

"That's correct~ I'm happy you noticed that. Should you accept the job, of course, you'll be responsible for protecting, overlooking, and if necessary, stimulating the sons or daughters in this world so that an appropriate ending may be given to the stagnant world. It is up to your judgment if you want to do so covertly or openly. The Gods of Heaven's Library trust the system's judgment in choosing you, thus, we give you the appropriate freedom as well to do as you please, so long as your role is well-maintained."

"Why are there only three books? Didn't you say that there are a lot of world trajectories per shelf?"

"Yes, but all the other world trajectories have the potential to be independent worlds that can finish themselves off on their own. These three were chosen as they are stagnant worlds that need the sons and daughters of the world to be stimulated. Of course, there are other types of world trajectories as well, but we only provide stagnant ones to part-timers."
