Late Night Confessions (Kagehina)

Kageyama and Hinata were stuck on cleaning duty last night and something happened.

"Kageyama! Hinata! Cleaning duty." Daichi said as everyone began to pack their things

"Yes captain." They both said simultaneously, their personalities matching their tones

Kageyama and Hinata headed over into the storage closet, grabbing mops and such as the team treaded out.

By the time they got the supplies gathered the gym was empty, Kageyama had the keys in his pocket as he looked at the shorter male.

"I'll take the back half and you'll take the front half." He said

"Sure!" Hinata said, wondering why Kageyama gave him the easier half

They were both cleaning on each side silently, only the squeaks of their shoes hitting the shiny floor when Hinata spoke up.

"Hey! Bakayama. Why'd you give me the easier part?" Hinata asked curiously 

"Are you not greatful?" He said

"No! I am, i'm just confused. Whats in it for you?" Hinata said, suspicions rising

"Nothing." He blatantly said as he continued to work

Hinata huffed and continued cleaning up his part of the gym. Silence taking over once again. 

As they both finished up, they walked into the storage closet, putting away their supplies before packing up.

"Let me close up the gym." Hinata said

"Why?" Kageyama asked

"You cleaned the harder part. Just give it to me!" Hinata said, reaching out

"Come and get it." Kageyama smirked, pulling the keys out of his pocket and holding them over the orange headed boy

Hinata groaned and jumped up, grabbing Kageyama's wrist and yanking it down.

He tried to pry the keys out of the setters hand but he wouldn't budge.

"Give them to me! What do you want?" Hinata asked

"I dunno. Pretty sure you aren't gonna pry it out of my grip so try another way." Kageyama said, leaning down to taunt the boy

Hinata huffed and suddenly pecked the setter on the lips, causing the younger to stare in shock.

His grip softened as Hinata took his chance, yanking the keys.

"Hah!" Hinata said, smiling in victory before looking up at the shocked male.

"What?" He said

"What do you mean what dumbass?! You kissed me!" Kageyama said

"Yeah? So?" Hinata said, tilting his head slightly

"What do you like me?!" Kageyama asked, clearly flustered

"Maybe I do. All I know is I have the keys!" Hinata said and walked past him

A strong grip held on Hinata's arm, stopping him from moving any further.

"I like you." Kageyama said "I don't know why, I just do. So if you're going to kiss me, just tell me if you like me."

Hinata turned to look at the taller male.

"I like you too." 

☾ Timeskip: The Next Practice ☽

"What the hell happened to those two?" Daichi asked his silver headed companion

"I have no idea Dai. They've been weird ever since this morning." Sugawara said, arms crossed as he intently watched the freak duo

"Well whatever happened, they need to change up before it affects their playing style." Daichi said

"They're probably dating." Tanaka said, overhearing

"Shoyo and Kageyama?" Noya questioned "Definitely." 

"That would be a good thing don't you think?" Asahi said

"Yeah, if they admit it. Disperse before they notice us talking." Daichi ordered and the boys went back onto the court

"I love you." Daichi said to Sugawara randomly as he was about to head to the court

"I love you too." He smiled before the sound of a ball hitting something other then the hardwood floor was heard

"I'm sorry Kageyama!" Hinata almost screeched, footsteps treading backwards as he was scared what the intimidating taller male would say/do to him

"Its okay boke. No big deal." Kageyama said and continued to practice

"Is it just me or did the king not bite someones head off?" Tsukishima said

"I saw that too." Yamaguchi confirmed

"It barely hit me." Kageyama attempted to defend himself

"A couple months ago you would've killed him." Tsukishima stated

"If he hits me again I will." Kageyama said

"Hey guys lets not resort to killing me!" Hinata exclaimed

"He's right. Go back to practice." Daichi said

Grumbling a bit everyone continued. Asahi did a tough spike as Hinata and Kageyama attempted to block it.

Hinata bumped into Kageyama's side, causing them to both miss the ball from the sudden movement to the right. 

"S-sorry! I didn't mean to!" Hinata apologized with a red face

Kageyama looked at the shorter male and treaded towards him. Aura unknown.

"Kageyama...I'm sorry I didn't-" Hinata stopped when he was pressed up against a wall, the setter staring down at him

Kageyama leaned in and kissed Hinata on the lips. Everyone stopped what they were doing to see what the two younger years were doing.

"Dumbass." He said as they broke apart "I just didn't want to hide it anymore. We're dating."

Kageyama pulled back and started serving balls aimed at water bottles again.

Hinata stood there, face red and frozen in place.

"YEAH SHOYO!" Noya cheered, Asahi giving a thumbs up behind him

"GET IT KAGEYAMA!" Tanaka cheered, Kiyoko smiling next to him

"Finally. Now can you two stop acting weird and play like you usually do?" Daichi said

"Yes captain." They both said

"Took them forever, not like we didn't know already." Sugawara said

"The king became soft." Tsukishima said

"Like you did for Yamaguchi?" Noya laughed

"Tsk." Tsukishima said but agreed in his head

Hinata and Kageyama did their signature quick attack in a new form. Both smiling widely in success as they got it right after countless of tries.

Kageyama did something they never had done before and hugged Hinata. Hinata stood there in shock for a few moments before hugging the raven haired boy back.

Late night confessions are pretty nice.
