Bounty to pay (star wars x child reader )

Mara returned to the ship disappointed that her visit hadn't given her the results she wanted but instead given her a quest she didn't want to complete

Before she could do that however she had to complete her current mission for the republic, she would need to lead hammer fall company to protect some candidate in the yavin system, something that sounded dull and uninteresting

She and y/n docked the ship with the destroyer and exited to find Ace and sarrak

"Um, Mara? Did I do something wrong with the other helmet people?"
Y/n asked looking at Mara with her big beautiful hazel eyes

"No... No no darling, you didn't do anything wrong"

Mara kneels to y/ns level putting her gloved hands on y/ns face

"It wasn't anything you did, it's something I did wrong and need to fix "
Mara couldn't bring herself to say what she had done, how she had lied to y/n since they met

The continued to the bay where hammer fall was and where ace and sarrak were talking

"Hey you two, how's it going?"

Ace sighs and shakes his head
"Other then sledge, jacker, tyer and west, their mostly shinies, a few good boys in the mix, no arc troopers "

Mara nods
"Alright, I have an idea"

She stepped forward and looked around all of the clones under her command

"Alright, sledge, may I borrow you and your company for a moment?"

"Yes sir" he says then turns to his men
"Attention troopers!"

"Thanks sledge, now who here has any training?"

It may seem like a stupid question but there was a purpose behind it

"All of us are trained from birth ma'am "

"You've been republic trained, it teaches you to deal with droids and the like, what it doesn't teach you is how this how to deal with the completely unexpected and unnatural "

He pulls the stolen lightsaber from her belt
"Did your training go over how to deal with a sith or jedi?"

There was murmurings then she head the answer she expected, "no"

"Well I'll teach all of you this and more, your getting a bounty hunter crash course to dealing with  jedi, sith and not becoming fodder whenever one comes at ya"

They all looked interested, having a non clone commander that was trying to completely prepare them and try to keep them all alive wasn't a common occurrence

"Ok, first we'll start with close quarters combat,  you need to be lethal from up front to far away, any volunteers?"

Y/n raised her hand to volunteer earnings laugh from a few clones and Mara, y/n had been fully serious wanting to be apart of anything the clones were doing

"No not you darling, I'll teach you next time "

Y/n frowned but nodded.

Y/n felt an uneasy chill crawl up her back, like she was being watched by someone she didn't know. She spun around looking for the source but could see nothing

"Y/n"
The voice wasn't one she knew and it wasn't an out loud voice, it echoed in her mind

"Y/n"
The voice gave her an uneasy feeling and made the little tongruta shrink away in fear, that voice was evil

"Y/n are you ok?"
This time the voice was very familiar and very begin her, y/n jumped and yelped turning to see the other tongruta jedi who had accompanied them

"Hey kid, you probably don't remember me very well but my name is ahsoka tano "

Y/n looked at her and felt a comforting warmth
"Hello Miss ahsoka "

Y/n said smiling her unease fading
"Come with me kid, I wanna show you something "

She took y/ns hand and took her up to the command deck and brought her to the front window

"Are we jumping soon?"

"Yes ma'am, jumping to hyperspace in 3-2-1"

They jumped and y/n watched it amazement as the stars elongated becoming jet so of light and marveled at the beauty

Ahsoka smiles, she knew the kid would like it, she felt a sympathy for this child that she couldn't explain....perhaps the bond of species, maybe something else... who knows
