CHAPTER 32: HE CALLED HER NAME FOR THE FIRST TIME

"I like hearing people's dumb problems once in a while." makahulugang sabi ni Aries na alam niyang pinapatamaan siya nito.
   

"W-wala naman akong problema. Masama lang pakiramdam ko kanina. Napagod marahil ako kaya nawalan ako ng malay." she said habang pilit nakikipag-sukatan siya ng tingin dito pero ang totoo habang ginagawa niya iyon lumalakas ang tibok ng dibdib niya.
   

"When I ask question, I prefer that you should answer it. Hindi mo ba alam pinag-alala mo ang mga tao dito?" mariing wika nito. 
   

Isa din ba ito na nag-alala sa kanya? Malamang hindi.
   

It was impossible to change the subject without answering his question. She cleared her throat, but no words came. She turned away. She was helpless to answer many of his questions.
   

"You don't look sick. Now, tell me what's bothering you?" umit nito.
   

Bumaling siya dito. "Wala nga ang kulit mo!" inis na bulyaw  niya dito at pilit inilalayo niya ang katawan sa asawa pero dahil sa nakapatong ito sa kanya hindi siya agad maka-alis dahil na din sa bigat nito.
   

“You don't want to talk about it? Okay." kapagkuwan sabi nito.

Ang buong akala niya aalis na ito sa pagkakadagan sa kanya pero nagkamali siya dahil nararamdaman niya ang isang kamay nito na humahagod sa kanyang binti pataas! At inililis nito paitaas ang suot niyang roba!
   

"Aries, stop! Ayan ka na naman! Nakakainis ka na! You're always using forceful methods to corner me. Why are you so aggressive?” she hissed at itinigil naman nito ang paghaplos sa kanyang binti.
   

"So am I a threat to you now? Magsasabi ka na ba?"
   

"Okay!" Haven stammered. "I'm—I'm really having a marvelous time here, I thought, I can manage myself more to get along with them! I guess I didn't fool anybody, I was over exaggerated." Haven explained.
   

"I guess you know I'm just homesick and I miss my mom. Only, I'm—well, I guess I'm homesick, that's all!" she said and sobs. She really felt embarrassed that Aries witnessed her crying all over again! Pero hindi iyon ang katotohanan! Yeah, she may be missing her mom a bit too.
   

Hindi niya alam kung may pake nga ba sa kanya si Aries. Blast him. He was as changeable as the weather. Sarcastic and insulting one moment, gently teasing the next.
   

Aries, watching her seriously, unbelievingly.
   

"Para kang bata, you always like this since the first day. You know what there are people who have experienced that feeling of depression that follows failure to accomplish anything they have set out to do. At ikaw ang simpleng bagay iniiyakan mo."
   

Kung alam mo lang ang katotohanan, Aries!
   

"I didn't want anybody out here to know I was so dumb and so kind of unsophisticated...ang babait ng mga pinsan mo sakin pero hindi ko talaga kayang sundin ang ibang trip nila. And that tattoo! Oh, I just can't! Oh, well, you can laugh if you want to!" she sniffled and wiped away a tear with her knuckle.
   

He touched a fingertip to her lips.
   

"Forget that fucking tattoo. Hindi mo ba alam na gustong-gusto ka nila?" sabi nito. They never did talk, the two of them, about other people. Pero ngayon ibang Aries ang kaharap niya.
