Chapter 56: Conversations

CLARKE POV
After Niylah left, I reached out to the people I think I can trust. I feel like I do.

i just laugh at how they aren't making things awkward. In fact they are not pushing me to say things or whatsover.

Judging by the conversation we had, Raven is the funny one, Octavia is the mom and Lexa is i don't know, boss? She's like the most serious one with the three.

It's been a month since my conversation with my 'friends'. They message me once in a while to check up on me but that's just it. I usually just shrug their messages to make sure we don't do serious talks. I wanted to tell them in person.

LEXA POV
I can't believe Clarke actually reached out to us. Does this mean she's all good now? No more hiding?

I tried to message her and she responded. But I think I fucked up.

I shouldn't have asked her that through chat right? I mean come on, that's a personal question. But if I'm being honest, I want to know if she's really doing okay. I think she isn't. She wouldn't reach out to us if there's nothing wrong. I just wish she would talk to me or to us for that matter. I want to apoligize to her. She changed her life because I hurt her.

It's been a month since my stupid question with Clarke. Whenever we talk, it's always in the groupchat. Even though it's all 'hi' and hello. Or how are you. Atleast we know she is safe. We all don't know how to tell her to come back home to us.

It's a Sunday so it means brunch at the Griffin-Kane household. But today it's only me, Raven and Octavia. Apparently the rest of the deliquents have prior engagements.

That's odd.

We arrive at Abby and Marcus' house

Abby: You're here!

Raven: Always Mama Griff. You know we love Marcus' food.

Abby: Just his?

Abby fake hurt and we all laugh at Raven'a awkward face.

Raven: I love your drinks mama Griff.

Abby: Yea right. Come on in. Food's ready in a few.

We walk inside and I think about Clarke. How is she? Is she safe?

Me: Have you heard anything from Clarke?

Abby: Uh, why?

Me: It's just we haven't heard from her in a month.

Octavia: Yea and it's worrying us.

Abby: Oh you talk to her?

I notice an awkward answer from Abby. Hmm?

Raven: Yea we do. She reached out to us 3 months ago.

Me: We talked for the 1st two months but this month, nothing. We're just worried.

Abby: Really? What did you talk about?

Me: Nothing. It's usually hi and hello. Then how are you. Nothing more. But atleast we know she's safe.

Abby just nods. She's acting weird. But I just shrugg it off.

Octavia: She posted 3 days ago 'au revoir'. Maybe she went on a vacation that's why she didn't reach out.

Me: Hmm. Maybe you're right.

We shrugged the conversation. Of course, Raven made her way to the kitchen to 'pre taste', as she calls it, all the food getting prepared. While me and Octavia sits on the couch and catch up on some Netflix.

Raven: Guys do you hear that?

Raven whisper yelled from the kitchen. So Octavia and I made our way near her. Raven, Abby and Marcus are standing still trying to be quiet. Octavia and I did the same thing to hear what Raven is talking about.

We hear faint strums. Then humms. Then a voice.

Wait.

I know that voice.

I run towards the sound.....

I tried to make it a cliffhanger so I don't know if this is good enough. I hope atleast it brings something to the story. I promise next chapter is better. Thanks guys

And side note: Raven, Lexa, Octavia still doesn't know Clarke lost her memories. Only Abby and Marcus. So I hope you understand why the coversation of Lexa and Clarke got weird.
