32 - How Can I Believe You?

Taehyung was in his room doing, well, nothing actually. His mind was all over the place and he was having a slight headache from all the heavy thinking that he did earlier.

He turned around when he heard the door opening and was surprised to see Jungkook walking in. The guards outside are informed to let Jungkook in anytime he wants so the younger can freely walk in.

"C-can I talk to y-you for a second, p-please?" Jungkook looked really remorseful and Taehyung felt his heart ache at the sight.

This scene looked so familiar that Taehyung wanted to laugh. He took a hold of himself and turned around so that he doesn't have to see the guard anymore.

"No. I didn't think there was anything else to say. Didn't you already said everything that needed saying?" Taehyung said in a quiet voice making Jungkook feel even worse.

"Please, just let me speak, your highness." Jungkook pleaded again.

After few seconds of silence, Taehyung gave a nod, still not looking at the guard.

"I'm sorry for what I said. Please... I really am so sorry. It's just that I don't even know what I say when I'm angry and just blurted out stupid things." Jungkook said in a ashamed voice and Taehyung supressed a chuckle at that.

"That I know, I've been on the receiving end of your temper tantrums a lot." Taehyung replied again in that same quiet and reserved voice.

"I didn't mean any of that. Please believe me, I never thought about you like that. Please forgive me.." Jungkook looked at the back of prince's head, hoping desperately that the prince would turn around and let him see his face.

"You know I always forgive you kook." Taehyung mused in a soft voice. "But that's not what's bothering me now."

Jungkook got really scared with this soft and calmed voice. It would have been much better if the prince yelled at him. He waited with a clenched heart for the prince to continue.

"Every time you accused me of things in the past, you kind of had a reason for it. True, you were misinformed and had misunderstood me but at that particular moment, you meant what you said. So how can I believe that you didn't meant it this time?"

"You can believe me because I.. I-I" Jungkook groaned in his heart as he could not get the words out. How can he say all those hurtful things to his prince but not say what matters the most. That he love him, with all his heart.

The prince sighed.

"Please go, Jungkook. I don't think I can listen to anything right now." Taehyung waived a hand in a dismissing way.

"No.. please let me explain.. I-I l-lo"

"I don't want to yell at you to get out twice in one day. Please leave." Taehyung said as he finally turned around to look at the guard.

Jungkook's felt like crying at the cold way the prince was looking at him but he held his ground. He will say what he came to say. It's ok if the prince get mad at him or tell at him. He will take it all because the alternative is just not acceptable.

"No." Jungkook said little more confidently. "I'll not move and will stay right here till you listen to me."

But rather than getting angry like Jungkook expected, Taehyung just looked at him in an emotionless way.

"Fine. If you are not getting out, I will!"

With that, Taehyung quickly went out of the room, without letting Jungkook say anything else. Jungkook hung his head in dismay. But he will be true to what he said. He will stay right here till the prince listen to what he has to say.

Taehyung was walking aimlessly with an angry heart. How dare that fool think that he can fix everything by just saying sorry. Taehyung didn't even realize that he had reached the king's living quarters but decided to see his brother now that he's here.

Namjoon and Jin was more than happy to see the younger. Namjoon had already told Jin about what happened at the meeting today. They both don't know the details of what happened between closed doors but still, it was pretty evident from their brother's face that it was not something good.

"Hey Tae, you didn't come to see me for so long, I thought you had forgotten about me." Jin said in a playful tone while giving the younger a warm hug.

"Nothing like that hyung. I was just a little busy with work and everything. So how are you?" Taehyung asked with a smile.

"I'm good. I'm trying a new hobby these days, wood carvings. Would you like to see what I made?" Jin was already walking towards a cupboard.

"Yeah, I would love to." Taehyung replied enthusiastically while Namjoon shook his head in amusement.

"See.. this is a plate, a cup and these are spoons and chopsticks." Jin said as he laid down few unrecognisable items.

Taehyung looked at them with genuine curiosity. The only thing he could recognise was the two sharpened sticks which he assumed was chopsticks. He didn't think it was polite to point out that one end of those were pointy as a needle and would be bit dangerous if anyone were to eat with it.

"These are... really good. Wow!! Jin hyung, you did really good with this." Taehyung said with a smile and gave thumbs up to his brother-in-law.

Jin was beaming with happiness and from the corner of his eyes, Taehyung could see Namjoon giving him a happy nod too. Sometimes Jin could be such an adorable child, Taehyung was happy for his brother's happiness.

They sat on the sofa after Jin put away his wood carvings. Jin gently pulled the younger's head on to his lap and Taehyung let him. They may not have been that close in the past 6 years but Taehyung knows how much Jin loves him.

Jin was there for a crucial moment of Taehyung's life and helped Taehyung to make a huge life decision. Jin would have been in real trouble for that but all he cared about was the younger's happiness.

They didn't speak much while Jin gently ran his hand through Taehyung's hair. Both Jin and Namjoon shared a look when the younger closed his eyes in content. After a few minutes, they could hear the light snoring from Taehyung.

Jin gently removed the younger's head from his lap and Namjoon placed a pillow under it. They let the prince sleep peacefully and Taehyung was already in the dream land.

Taehyung waked up with a jolt. From the soft light that illuminated room, he could say that it was night time. He looked at the clock on the wall and saw that he had been sleeping for about 3 hours.

'Shit!!' Taehyung thought to himself as he stumbled to his feet and ran out of the room. His mind filled with the last thing Jungkook said. 'I'll not move and will stay right here till you listen to me.'

Jungkook can't be still there right? Taehyung ran to his room and opened the door, only to see the guard standing there in the same position that he left him in.
