CALUM
Luke leaned up against Michael as they described their latest adventure. I nodded along, asking questions here and there but my main focus was her. Blake was sitting in the McDonald's playground, her knees brought up to her chest with a book balancing on them. A kid ran up to her and pulled her hand, pointing towards the playground. Blake glanced up and frowned, clearly annoyed before standing and slipping her shoes off, following the small boy.
"He's whipped," Michael commented with a nod of his head, "He completely whipped"
"Shut up," I snapped, shoving a chicken nugget into my mouth, watching Blake as she climbed into the playground. I laughed quietly at the fact that she was seventeen and could still fit. "I hardly know her," I added, pulling my phone out.
CALUM: maccas is sounding pretty nice right now
BLAKE: nO
BLAKE: i mean its fattening and you can get diabetes
CALUM: can you??
BLAKE: I DON'T KNOW
BLAKE: just don't come i heard some kid threw up

CALUM: OH WAIT IT'S JUST YOU AHAHAHHAAHHA
BLAKE: screw you
CALUM: wouldn't you like to ;-)
BLAKE: there are kids around idiot
I glanced up to see Blake glaring at me through one of those windows, the boy still tugging on her hand. I smirked and picked up my drink, accidentally poking myself in the eye as I tried to find the straw. I hissed in pain, glaring at Luke and Michael as they laughed at me. Moments later, my phone vibrated.
BLAKE: i didn't realise you could drink out of your eyes??? that should a talent
CALUM: god i hate you
BLAKE: what did god ever do to you
CALUM: made you born
BLAKE: that doesn't make sense
CALUM: LIKE YOUR LIFE BYE

Blake and I sat next to each other in the back row, Michael and Luke on the other side of her. She purposely leaned on the armrest, her hair tickling my bare arm as she continued to move. After the movie - which seemed to go on forever - Michael and Luke excused themselves, leaving me alone with Blake who held on tightly to the book she was holding. I held her wrist gently and pulled the book closer to me, reading it.
"The Anne Frank diary?" I questioned, dropping her wrist and turned away from her, walking out of the cinema, "Is it for history?"
"No, I want to read it," Blake replied casually, playing with her hair as we walked towards the shopping centre. "I'm learning about the Trojan War, remember?
"Oh, right" I nodded, turning to face her. She was turned away from me, staring into a book shop before walking in without another word. I frowned and followed her, looking around uncomfortably as she continued to pick up books and put them in her arms. I reached out to her, "Do you need help?"
She nodded, pursing her lips as she handed me a couple of books. "Have you ever read?"
I looked away uncomfortably, "Does Kerrang magazine count?" I joked awkwardly, following her to the counter. She gave me a piercing look as she placed the books on the counter and payed.
"Sorry, but I have to be home," She told me as we exited the shop, looking down at her watch, "I'll see you at school, loser"
