Chapter 9

Saravi.

It has been an intense and busy week in the palace, I have also been full of knowledge and discoveries, from things and people that I have come to deal with. If someone had told me that I would be up and down, I would never have believed it. However, I like this form, being ready to help and above all to give my opinion about almost everything, I was loving it.

My ties to Hanna are unique, she has become like a sister to me, her soft advice, her way of speaking and expressing her affection have made me feel more than at home; also the subtlety she uses to tell me about his brother without being partial, and the way he seeks to fall in love with this palace and our people. She really is unique.

On the other hand, Fais has been like another father, and although his preference is to be next to the king, I see him quite comfortable when he notices my presence or teaches me some things.

I have written several letters to my parents, despite the differences with my mother, I have missed them very much. Umar has been quite far from my presence, sometimes I am quite sorry for Kalil for having to deal with him. So the more I get to know Umar, I can't connect him with Zura.

Coexistence with Kalil has improved since the day of the villa, perhaps because I see him now with different eyes, perhaps because since I entered the palace I have been able to really know his convictions, and even though I try to put aside the strong emotions that begin to seize me, I have to accept that the King is a great man.

"Do you think I will be able to enter that meeting? I ask for the third time in the week. Fais is at his desk trying to compose a letter to Duke Nabal Marras.

"You can ask the King Majesty directly...However, from what I know, I think he will not allow you, a lady, and especially the queen, to enter, along with all those men who only know rudeness."

His gaze returns to the page where he writes and a sigh comes out of my mouth.

"Is everything ok in the center of Angkor? When will we be back?"

"If you want you can go with me to Nabal, it will do you good to talk to his wife about the villa."

"Will the King go with us?" I asked interested.

"No. He said he would have another engagement.

Perfect.

"Very well, I will go with you." I would also like to visit a friend who lives there.

Please! Please! Don't ask!

"A friend? Do you have friends in the center of Angkor?"

"Well, she's actually Nadia's best friend...My lady-in-waiting."

A smile appears on Fais's face, as he slowly denies trying to get involved again in the letter. So I quickly excuse myself and go in search of my goal.

Borja.

My pace was rushed, I need Borja to have time to warn Mishaal, that tomorrow morning I will be leaving for the center of Angkor. I need him to meet me urgently.

Just when I'm reaching in one of the patios looking everywhere, I collide with a person so strong that if it wasn't because he takes me quickly I would have fallen to the ground.

A fairly firm and manly face watches me, in just a matter of seconds our gazes meet and his frown sharpens, I can feel the shock of his breath against my face again, producing a warm sensation in my body along with the strong beating of my heart.
