It was a Friday night, and Harry, Hermione and I were spending the night in the library. "If the second task is in the Black Lake, you're going to need something to help you breathe underwater," Hermione explained, flipping through the pages of another book, a pile of used ones behind her. "Who's gonna put those back on the shelf when you're done?" Harry grinned, throwing another book on the pile. "We've got hours till the second task and all you've done is make fun of Hermione for being a book-worm," I giggled, Hermione hitting me on the arm with a book. "Hey! If anything, I've done more research than he has, and I'm not even competing," She stated, looking over at Harry. "I haven't seen a single thing you could use for breathing underwater in any of these," I flipped through another book's pages. Draco passed by us, and gave me a small smile and wink.

"You two still goin', huh?" Harry grumbled. "What about it?" I replied, shutting the book and picking another up from the pile. "I think it's kind of cute," Hermione shrugged. "Yeah, gets him to leave us alone," Harry grumbled again. Draco turned the corner, a large leather book open in his hands. "You eavesdropping, Malfoy?" Harry sneered. "Isn't that book a little big for you, Potter?" He grinned, grabbing my arm.

"Hey!!" I laughed, being dragged away to the back of the library. "I just wanted to steal you for a little while," He kissed me slowly, hand on my waist as he put me down on the table. He kept kissing me, until we heard Professor Moody telling Hermione to leave. Draco and I peeked around the corner to see Harry being dragged away by Moody.

"Strange, that professor," I looked as Hermione walked out of the library. "He's bloody scary, flew that giant bug in my face during class when he first arrived," Draco shuddered. "Not a fan of bugs, are you Malfoy?" "I hate them. Don't tell anyone I said that."

"The whole school will know by morning," I joked.

Draco walked me back to my common room, and kissed me goodbye. I walked up the stairs, and fell fast asleep the second I hit my bed. There was a long day ahead tomorrow; I wonder what Harry had planned for underwater breathing. I wondered if he had a plan at all.

My eyes fluttered open to see Lorelei pawing at my legs. "What time is it?" I looked around the room. Both Ginny and Hermione were gone. "Shit," I looked at my alarm clock. It read eight o'clock. I quickly got out of bed and into my robes, darting out the door and down the stairs as quickly as possible. I turned left and bumped into Draco.

"What are you doing here?" I said, picking up my stuff in a hurry. "Didn't see you at breakfast, I got worried," he picked up a book I'd dropped and handed it to me. "You, getting worried about someone?" I giggled. He stared at me, the same look he'd always given me on his face. "You're serious?" he looked down, trying to hide the red in his cheeks. "Well, I'm fine. My alarm clock just didn't go off," I threw my bag over my shoulder. I took a step towards the great hall when he grabbed me by the arm. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"Someone saw us in the library last night. Not sure who, but.." his voice trailed off. "Let me guess, everyone knows?" I stammered at him. Before I could say anything else, he took my by the hand and we began walking straight into the great hall. "Draco what the bloody hell are you doing?" I hissed at him. "Showing everyone that you're mine," he smirked. "Fine, I'll go with it. But you owe me for embarrassing me in public." "Embarrassing you? You should be thanking me," He scoffed, as we approached the doors.

People began to turn and stare before we even got through the doors. I didn't want to admit it, but I was humored by the attention. He walked with me confidently, dropping me off at Gryffindor table, giving me a kiss on the cheek, and giving Harry a small slap on the back of the head. I couldn't help but giggle.

"You two are gonna be the death of me," Harry barked. "Have you got a date yet, Harry?" I questioned sarcastically. Nearly everyone in the room had their eyes on either me, or Draco. Harry gave a small glance at Cho Chang, a sweet Ravenclaw girl in our year. "aww," I sang, Harry motioning for me to not look. I mouthed 'sorry', at him, before returning to my food. "We should get going," I exclaimed to Harry, and we began to pack up to head down to the Black Lake for this morning's task. I didn't quite understand what the tasks were and what they meant, but I went to the events anyways.

Half an hour later, Ginny met me at the docks. As we arrived at our seats, Harry choked down a slimy green substance. "Gillyweed," Neville turned to us. "Huh?" asked Ginny, confused. "Gives you gills. Cool, huh?" Neville smiled. The two of us nodded, turning back to the action. "3, 2, 1, GO!" the whistle blew, and Cedric, Fleur and Viktor dove into the water. "Is he alright?" I pointed at Harry, Professor Moody practically shoving him into the water.

"Oh my God, I've killed Harry Potter!" Neville shrieked. Ginny and I zoned off, talking, knowing he was mumbling nonsense. We waited for some form of action for what felt like hours. Finally, Cedric arrived at the surface of the lake with Cho Chang. "You think Cho and Cedric-" "Yep." I replied to Ginny without a second thought. Viktor Krum arrived at the surface with Hermione next. Fleur Delacour ended up disqualified for getting attacked by grindylows. "Come on Harry," I whispered under my breath. Suddenly, Ron broke the surface, and Fleur's little sister Gabrielle. a few moments later, Harry flew onto the docks. "Well this was interesting," Ginny said, clearly uninterested. "Let's go back to the dormitories," she began walking back towards the castle. I followed back into our room.

"The Yule Ball is in a week," Ginny exclaimed, flipping through a magazine. "Do you have a dress?" she glanced at me, then continued flipping through pages of muggle fashion. "I do, it should arrive tomorrow," I looked out the window of our tower, exploring the forest grounds with my eyes. Lorelei sat on my shoulder, nuzzling my cheek. "What's it look like?"

"It's light blue, that's all I'm gonna say. You and Hermione will be the first to see it tomorrow, I promise," I laughed at her eagerness. We walked down to the common room, to see Hermione and Harry, still soaked, wrapped in towels around the fire place. "I'd say today's task was fairly successful for you," I gave Harry a small slap on the back of the head. "Very cold, what a lovely idea for an underwater event to happen in the middle of bloody December," he scolded.

We spent the afternoon talking about the tasks, classes, and the Yule Ball. We ate a quick dinner, and returned to our dormitories. I couldn't help but imagine Draco and I dancing together slowly at the ball. I couldn't wait.
