when he spills his drink on you
Kim Seokjin. He was certainly an interesting one. He was absolutely charming and attractive, the girls were always gawking at him. At times, he seemed very outgoing and some times you would find him sitting alone in the corner of the cafeteria, watching something on his phone as he had his lunch. You couldn't quite figure him out, but you never got the chance to get to know him personally. Your eyes sometimes met during lectures, he would never be the first one to look away. He always won the staring contest since you couldn't hold his gaze for longer than a few seconds. It made you nervous and blush, so you always looked away, pretending to not be effected at all. A small smile would play on his lips when he made you look away.
Jin was someone who minded his own business. He didn't really enjoy being the center of attention, so he tried to avoid it as much as possible. But it was inevitable when you were as good looking as him, he was aware. It wasn't that he was shy, truth was he was pretty confident. He just didn't like superficial people and it seemed that those were the type of people he attracted the most with his good looks.
You had caught his attention one too many times to the point that he kept looking for you in a room. Though he was pretty sure to have talked to everyone on campus at least once, he had actually never talked to you ever before. He wanted to desperately change that and get to know you.
But he didn't want to approach you first, that would give away his interest right away. He first needed to make sure you were someone that he could see himself aligning with before he clearly showed his intentions.
It took him a couple days of investigations and observations until he figured out your schedule and the places you preferred to hang out at. He was surprised to see you by yourself very often, typing away on your laptop. Judging by your beauty, he would have assumed you to be in good company all the time. Apart from a female friend, he barely saw you hanging out with anyone.
He thought you looked very peaceful and calm. You always spoke in a soft tone and in a delicate manner, that he found was very alluring.
You looked so peaceful reading your book, sitting outside on a bench, that he didn't want to disturb you. But at the same time, he knew he was making up excuses because he was kinda nervous about talking to you. Looking down at the cup of coffee in his hands, he sighed. The dark liquid glistened in the sunshine. It had cooled down enough for him to prosecute his plan, but he felt stuck in his spot. You were completely oblivious to his presence, as you were completely absorbed in the story you were reading. Jin pulled himself together after giving himself a couple prep talks before he headed towards you with confidence. Acting all cool, he walked up to you and once he was near enough, he faked to trip and spilled his drink all over you.
You sucked in a sharp breath, immediately holding your book away in hopes to keep it dry but of course it was of no use.
"I am so sorry" Jin said, playing his role. You gave him an annoyed look, staring down at your stained white shirt and jeans.
"Let me help you with that" he said, rubbing your shirt with the back of his arm, making you frown and push him away.
"Stop touching me, you weirdo" you snapped, making him frown too. He was surprised by your reaction. Other girls would have gladly let him do his thing, melting away at the proximity.
"I was just trying to help you" he mumbled, feeling his ego majorly bruised.
"This is like a cheap teen movie scene. You are only making it worse and now you got your shirt dirty too" you said, putting down your wet book. Only yesterday you had gone out to the bookstore to get yourself that book, you felt so frustrated.
