"Aya," I spoke, calling her attention immediately.

I looked at her hesitantly, she was busy typing on her computer for the required reports she needs on her 8th term internship in the firm. I really didn't want to bother her, I really don't..

But it's been two days ever since I've introduced Calixto to my friends.. at dalawang araw na rin akong hindi pinapatahimik ng utak ko sa kakaisip.. but I remained mum, I've always have.

I didn't want to be impulsive, even if I'm in a begruding situation that literally calls for it.

"Yes, Engineer?"

Lahat ng mga narinig ko.. ni-hindi ko alam kung dapat ba akong maniwala o ano, ni-hindi ko rin alam kung nasa posisyon ba ako para magalit o malungkot.. pero alam kong nasa tamang posisyon naman ako para magtanong.

Because for fuck's sake.

Bakit may Selene?

Sino 'yang Selene na 'yan? Bakit may asawang nagaganap? Ano 'yon, joke lang ba 'yon? Mema gano'n?

Ito na ba 'yon.. Ito na ba 'yung sinasabi ni Chase na past ni Calixto? Takte ano ba ako, posible bang kabit ako?

The mere thought of me being a mistress already made me gag, but I knew Calixto... he wouldn't do that,  he wouldn't do any of that.

And that's the only thing that keeps me sane right now, the only thing that keeps me going.

Dahil putcha, sino bang hindi mababaliw 'pag mga 'yon ang narinig mo?

"Is Delilah Salvador still the current secretary of Engineer Calixto Sommerraux?" I bit my finger slightly as I waited for her response.

I shakily put down the folder I was holding. I couldn't even attend to work correctly, because I just can't pacify my thoughts on my own!

I just needed to know a bit of things.. kahit hindi muna lahat, kahit kaunti lang.. dahil hindi ko naman basta-basta matatanong si Calixto ng gano'n-gano'n lang because... just because! Paano 'yon? Out of the blue magtatanong ako na, --uy! Tangina nagka-asawa ka pala? O baka naman asawa mo pa?

"Yes, Engineer."

I just needed answers.

But I needed to know the perfect timing.. dahil baka sumabog na 'tong utak ko sa kakaisip. Dahil kahit gaano ko pa kakilala si Calixto, paano kung hindi pa pala sapat 'yon? Because it's not impossible right?

Kailan lang naman ako dumating sa buhay niya.. napakadaming bagay na pupuwedeng mangyari sa kaniya noon.

"I'll be back," I muttered, ignoring Aya's suspecting eyes before going out.

Kailangan ko nang gumalaw ngayon. Kasi kung hindi pa, baka dibdib ko na 'yung sumabog.

"Good day, Engineer Hesquintes!" Delilah chirped, I politely smiled back at her.

"Do you have--"

"Ito po ang annual schedule ni Ser for the entire month, Ma'am!" I looked taken aback as I slowly accepted the laminated paper. "Ito naman po Ma'am! Ito 'yung current sched niya this week!" She grinned.

"Uh.." Pilit akong ngumisi sa kaniya bago ko ituon ang atensyon ko sa schedule ni Calixto.

I hissed quietly when I saw how jam-packed it is, literal na parang nagsisiksikan lahat ng mga gawain niya!

How the heck does he do all of these?!

"Ay Ma'am, sorry kung nabigla ka po 'a! Kasi po, kabilin-bilinan ni Ser na lahat raw po--as in, lahat ng sasabihin o ipapautos niyo po ay susundin ko," diin niya. "Eh alam ko naman pong 'yan ang tatanungin ninyo kasi 'di po ba noon, 'yan po 'yung tinanong niyo sa akin--"
