"Are you sure you don't want a body guard?" Sage said for the nth time.

"I don't! Tama na nga Sage," I hissed, glaring at him right after.

Sa kaniya na ako sumabay since we both have to leave early for work. Samantalang sina Hera, Shirley, Gen, at Vince ay naiwan sa unit ko.

Sage didn't even bother to file a leave in his own company, it's as if everything would happen as expected raw.

Samantalang yung iba sasamantalahin na raw nila ang leave sa trabaho, para maka-relax na rin daw sila. We even set a movie date after my working hours since I entrusted them to take care of my unit, and specifically called out Vince to not burn the whole building down because he isn't a great cook at all. They boo'd me when they realized I'll still be coming to work, I just shrugged it off.

Kailangan ko na mag-ipon para sa bagong condo, there are too much memories that were long-lived in mine.

Inasar pa ako ni Shirley na masyado na raw halata ang 'pagpapa-cute' ko kay Calixto which, of course, intrigued the others.

"So wala ka na talagang balak gamitin ung kotseng binigay sayo ni Alonzo?" Tanong ni Sage habang nakatingin sa daan.

I cleared my throat after a moment of silence. "Wala," tugon ko.

"Are you really going to give it back? Bakit hindi mo nalang i-benta, if you really don't want to use it? I mean what would Alonzo do with another more car," Sage was rolling his eyes while he scoffed at the same time.

Mas bitter pa talaga 'to sa'kin.

Pero tama naman siya, ano pa nga ba ang gagawin ni Alonzo kapag binalik ko iyon sa kaniya? It's not like he's going to give a damn about one car when he has about hundreds of them at the parking lot of their mansion.

"Ayokong may madagdag pa siya sa pagtanaw ko ng utang na loob sa kaniya kapag may minsang mangyari na magkabungguan kami sa daan," I quietly said.

"It's not that I'm that typical ex, na para bang ibabalik ko ang lahat ng binigay niya saakin out of bitterness-and I shouldn't even be bitter in the first place, dahil ako nga 'yong nang-iwan." Dagdag ko pa, tumatango-tango nalang si Sage.

"You can feel all things 'tol, pero you can never feel guilty for doing a decision that saved yourself," sambit niya at nagpatuloy na mag-drive.

We kept mum the whole ride, hanggang sa makarating na ako sa firm.

I hopped out of the car. "Mamaya, movie night don't go home late." Sage reminded, I smiled and nodded afterwards.

I waved at him. "Sige na," sinarado ko ang pinto ng sasakyan, I was about to walk inside the firm's building when a car obnoxiously horned at me.

Naiirita akong tumingin sa direksyon ng sasakyan, it's a black BMW Nazca, I fought the urge to roll my eyes.

I ignored the nuisance and took another step nearing the building, I was all Miss calm and collected but that all ended when the luxury car horned at me again, this time repeatedly.

Anong problema nito!?

Napansin kong pipigilan dapat ako ng guard na nagbabantay sa entrance ng firm sa balak ko, but I didn't pay attention, I angrily marched my way to the car.
