CHAPTER 27

Jason's avoiding me. After what happened, we all fell silent hanggang sa sya na iyong kusang lumabas at iwan kami sa loob. Hurricane consoled me, and the boys went on Jason. Pagkatapos ng araw na iyon... I felt like he's too far now. Maraming beses ko syang nilapitan para makipag-usap pero kaagad din nyang tinatapos ang usapan at iniiwan ako. I didn't know the reason why... but maybe it was about the kiss. It was an accident. Pareho naming hindi gusto iyon. Then why is he acting like it was a big deal? Para namang sinadya kong mangyari iyon.

"Anong pinipinta mo, Gina? Ba't parang ang..." napatigil si Mae at tinagilid ang ulo, tinitingnan ang pininta ko. Her eyes widened.

I took a step back to have a better view of what I've drawn. I sighed sharply, and my lips twitched upon the failed attempt. I was so bothered.... aside from the fact that it's Saturday the next day and the dinner was coming... Jason wasn't talking to me like I was invisible on the group.

"Parang hugis..."

Lumapit si Hurricane at Pink at tiningnan ang gawa ko. They all gasped at humalakhak naman si Mae.

"Hugis tit-

Hindi na natuloy ang sasabihin ni Mae nang biglang takpan ni Hurricane ang bibig nya. Pink chuckled before looking at me.

"Are you okay? You looked bothered."

"Sila Jason?"

"Lumabas muna. Bumili ng pagkain."

Tumango ako. I returned to what I was doing. Pinintahan ko ulit ng puting paint ang pader bago nagsimula ulit.

"Okay ka lang ba? Kanina ka pa parang wala sa sarili..."

"May iniisip lang," I shrugged and went back to my work. Napahinto ako nang inakbayan ako ni Mae na ngayon ay nakangisi na.

"Hulaan ko!" she smirked, looking at me. I put her arms off my shoulder and crossed my chest. " 'Yung kiss 'yan 'no?"

I puckered my lips and sighed. Going back to that day, I could say that Jason was not pleased with what happened, and neither did I, actually. But what can we do? That already happened! As if we could change anything that happened that way. And why is he acting like he's the only one who has been stolen a kiss in a most dramatic way?

"Hindi naman big deal sa 'kin 'yun... tsaka, as if naman first kiss 'yun ni Jason..." sagot ko.

"First kiss ni Jason sa 'yo 'yun," Hurricane smiled.

I sneered. "It's different. He should've let it pass. Imbes na ganoon ang gawin nya, he's avoiding me."

"Baka paranoid ka lang. Bakit ka naman iiwasan ni Jason?" tanong ni Pink.

Pumalatak ako. "Exactly my point! Wala akong ginagawa! Kung 'yung problema nya eh 'yung tungkol sa nangyari kahapon, I didn't care about it!"

Totoo naman iyon, hindi ko din naman 'yun inisip talaga dahil alam ko namang hindi sinasadya 'yung nangyari. Even Cal remained quiet, surprisingly, at hindi kami inaasar tungkol doon. Sobrang bother lang ako dahil parang apektado sya na kung tutuosin, madami na syang nahalikang babae, and it's not even like, a real kiss!

"Look, Gina... You just don't understand him, alright..."

My brows drew together and looked at Yuri. "What do you mean? Because I totally understand. He doesn't want the kiss? Then, he should've told that to my face!"

Mae eyed me. "Why are you acting like that, though? Kahit iniiwasan ka nya, wala namang magbabago. He's still the same and still quirky as ever."

I pressed my lips together. "I just hate it when he's avoiding me like I've done something that offended him or whatever."
