junhui had expected minghao to freak out, but surprisingly the other didn't, he was actually pretty cool with it

he had asked him if that was what he really wanted, junhui didn't even know he wanted it until he said it out loud, however minghao seemed happy and he was excited too

"so, have you told her yet?" minghao asked

junhui bit his lip "no" he said with a guilty face "but, you could meet her and i can say you're my boyfriend because she knows we've been seeing each other in a romantic way, i could just omit the whole soulmate thing if you're okay with it"

"of course i am, i haven't told my parents either, they're really intimidating so i'll tell them that we're dating first and then i'll tell them that you're my soulmate" minghao said and smiled

"fine by me, when do you want to meet her? i mean of course you have met her but now you're meeting her like you know- uh yeah" junhui said awkwardly

the younger clicked his tongue and started thinking "i guess when you tell me, anytime would be good now, i think i'm ready" he said

"okay, i'll go home and talk with her, then i'll tell you when and where, okay?" the taller grabbed his hand and caressed it gently with his thumb reassuringly

junhui was home with his mom but wasn't sure on how to start the conversation, but he had to try

"umm mom" he scratched his head and made a hesitant face while looking away before continuing "you know how i've been going out a lot with my friends lately?"

"yes" his mom said looking a little confused as to why his son was acting weird

"well i kind of lied, i do go out with my friends but i've also been seeing a boy, do you remember him? i told you i was going on a date with him a while ago and we've been spending a lot of time together, he's actually one of my old friends, minghao, the chinese one" he said with nervousness plastered all over his face and voice tone

"fine by me" she said unbothered

"mom, it's just that, we've been boyfriends for a while and well, he's ready to meet you and i hope you're ready to meet him" he pressed his lips together, of course minghao and him weren't boyfriends yet, but it was the only logical excuse to avoid the soulmate topic

"yeah, i guess, he can come over tomorrow, i'll make dinner and he can come by like at 7:00pm" she said with an expressionless face

"thank you mom, you won't regret meeting him" junhui smiled and left the room

his mom took a deep breath and almost smiled feeling happy that his little boy finally had someone to give him all the love she was unable to express

as junhui entered his room, he suddenly remembered "i forgot to mention he's vegan" he thought

he ran down the stairs and noticed his mom was already sitting in the kitchen thinking about something, probably on what she was going to cook for minghao the next day

"mom, i forgot to mention he's vegan and i think he would appreciate a vegan dinner, i really wouldn't like him to feel uncomfortable, oh, and i don't eat meat anymore either, if you could considerate that for tomorrow it would be amazing" junhui smiled

his mom nodded and hummed in agreement, but he didn't want her cooking by herself "hey, tomorrow after school, we can cook dinner together before he arrives if you want to" he said

he actually helped his mom with cooking a lot, in fact he cooked for himself most of the times, and not only for himself but for his mom too, it was a small gesture that his mom appreciated more than he imagined

"okay, just be sure to get here early or i'll start without you" his mom joked

he chuckled and said a small "okay" before running up the stairs in direction to his room again, he took out his phone and laid on the bed to text minghao, thankfully, the other replied quickly
