junhui had had some good days and some bad days, but that particular day was one of his favorites, it even topped the day he went to disney

everything was going great and as soon as he got out of school, he ran home excitedly, he stepped on his house which was completely alone and took off his shoes before he ran up the stairs to get to his room

he had the biggest grin on his face as he started taking off his clothes while looking at himself in the mirror

"damn i look fine" he proudly said out loud while making an attractive expression

when he was fully naked, he went into his bathroom and turned on the hot water so he could take a shower

dancing while he was shampooing his hair he was close to slipping but regained balance by grabbing the shower's door

when he got out of the shower he didn't mind getting a towel so he directly went to his closet to choose his nicest outfit

when he was done changing, he looked at himself in the mirror and chuckled "why am i so attractive?" he said and combed his hair backwards while smirking

he decided to put on a discrete mascara and his nicest cologne, he was pretty comfortable with how he looked so he took some pictures and sent them to minghao just to be a flirt

he washed his teeth and checked himself out in the mirror one last time before going downstairs

he danced down the stairs and landed with a jump only to jump once again at the sight of his mom sitting on the couch while eating a banana and watching tv

"umm, why are you here so early?" he asked surprisedly

"my boss let me go home early cause i wasn't feeling well and here i am" she said expressionless

junhui felt a bit guilty, he was in such a good mood and his mom was feeling sick

"do you need me to stay here with you? just in case you need help" he asked worriedly

"no, i'm okay, you go out wherever you're going dressed up so nicely" she said while analyzing his clothes

"oh, okay, umm, when did you get here?" he asked nervously

"just a bit before you asked yourself why you were so attractive" she said mimicking his voice and almost smiling

he laughed and covered his face in embarrassment "i'll get going, i have a date" he said without making eye contact

"a date?" his mom said trying to hide the surprise in her voice, she always knew junhui wasn't interested in dating because he thought it was pointless

"yeah, and if everything goes well, you might meet him soon" he said happily without mentioning the fact that he was his soulmate, he didn't want to tell her yet

her mom nodded and continued eating her banana, he didn't now why, but for the first time in years he kissed her in the cheek and said "goodbye mom, i love you" and opened the door to leave

"do you need some condoms? i left some on the table just because i already suspected you were going out" she said

with one foot outside and the other inside the house his eyes widened before turning to see his mom in embarrassment "no thanks mom, we're kind of taking it slow" he scratched the back of his neck and then closed the door to leave

he stood outside his door for a few moments and ran back inside, grabbed the condoms, and put them in his pocket without even looking at her

"thanks mom" he said before closing the door and then actually left

he took the car since they decided they were meeting up in a place that was far from his house, there was still an hour left for the date but he wanted to get there early just in case

the sunset was pretty and he looked out the window, everything looked so nice, he continued driving while enjoying the sight

when he got there, he made sure to sit on a table just for two, the place wasn't exactly a restaurant, it was more of a place where they only sell beverages

he looked at the clock impatiently and he started getting nervous, it was his first date and it was with a guy he didn't even fully like as more than a friend

he opened his text mesagges conversation with minghao and just when he was staring at the picture he had sent the other, a small green dot appeared on minghao's picture meaning he was active, a few seconds later a seen appeared below the selfies he sent him

he quickly locked his phone, he didn't want to seem desperate so he waited for a reply and waited 10 seconds to finally take a look on what the other had sent him but he wished he hadn't

the best day had just became the worst one just by seeing a simple message

"junhui, i'm sorry, but i'm not going to make it"
