he couldn't see anyone around, yewon had already left so she couldn't give him a lift, he reached for his phone to text his moms but just as he unlocked it, it died

he was aware of his surroundings the whole time, it was dark and scary, he didn't know what to do, but as he was looking around, he saw a phone flashing at him and moving around, a few seconds later, some other phones joined

at first he was confused, but then, he realized his friends were holding those phones, he could suddenly breath again so he ran to them who were standing there besides soonyoung's car

junhui saw chan running over to them and smiled "does he still look sad?" he signed towards the others

before anyone could answer, chan was already there but didn't seem to be showing any expression

"so? how was it?" jihoon signed

chan flashed them a whipped smile "it was pretty nice, she's a really nice girl" he signed

"she better be" junhui said unconvinced, he was still very pissed at minhyuk

chan rolled his eyes playfully "please don't hold any grudges to minhyuk, he had his reasons and they're completely valid" he signed

soonyoung didn't want the situation to turn into an argument so he quickly singed teasingly while looking at chan "so you like this girl"

chan looked away "stop it" he signed and giggled cutely making them all smile at each other "where are bin and dongmin?" he signed

"they left already, they said they had important business but i think they just wanted to go celebrate the successful presentation, if you know what i mean" minghao signed suggestively making them laugh

"guys, it's actually pretty late because chan wouldn't stop flirting with his soulmate, so we should go" jihoon signed

chan laughed "guys, stop teasing" he pouted jokingly

soonyoung removed the car's door lock and got inside, then he signed "we'll stop teasing when you stop being so cute"

chan gave up and entered the car with jihoon following, they closed the doors and left quickly after saying goodbye, leaving junhao alone

as always, they were awkward and silent, especially now after the car incident "let's get going" minghao said and junhui agreed

they got in the younger's car "are you feeling any better?" he signed

junhui looked at him in confusion "what?" he asked, minghao bit lip as he started the car "you were very mad" he said

junhui looked away in embarrassment "i'm sorry, it's just that the idea of someone hurting chan is unbearable, he's already gone through so much" he said feeling his cheeks heat up, it was embarrassing they all noticed he was mad without hearing minhyuk's side of the story

"hey, i already told you i don't like you apologizing for your emotions, they're valid, okay? i was a little confused too but i'm sure there's a reasonable explanation, however i really think it's something they should figure out themselves first and then we can intervene if we're needed" minghao said

"you're right, i'll have to calm down my protective dad side and let him figure this out, he's grown so much and he has learned how to handle these kinds of situations, but if he falls, i will always be there to catch him" he said

minghao giggled and nodded "of course" he said

it was awkward but it had to be said, so minghao decided to be the first one to mention it "hey, umm, about that- uh, you know, that incident earlier, i just wanted to say that i think we both know how much sexual tension there's between us but i think it's better we take things slow, i mean we barely pecked our lips this week and now i just-"

junhui interrupted "don't worry i want to take things slow too, of course i know about the sexual tension and i think it makes our interactions even funner, so i don't see a problem to it" he said

minghao sighed in relief and smiled "thank you, plus i think it would be much better when we're like you know-" he stopped himself because he cringed "forget it, it's too corny" he laughed

"noo, please tell me" junhui begged, he didn't like being left with the curiosity

"fine" minghao rolled his eyes playfully "i was just going to say that i think it would be better when we're boyfriends and-" he took a deep breath and whined before saying the next thing "and in love"

junhui grinned and playfully hit his arm "oww you're so cute, who knew you had a sweet spot for these sort of things?" he smiled softly

minghao laughed without looking at him because he was driving "i hate you" he joked and started laughing again
