How to Detect a Lie 😒

Step 1: Check for hand gestures

Hands in pockets - Dishonesty/Distress
Palm Displays - Honesty
Hands Clenched - Dishonesty/Distress/Disagreement

Step 2: Watch eye movements

Right top corner - Honesty - Thinking visually about something that happened
Directly right - Honesty - Thinking about something they heard
Right bottom corner - Honesty - Talking to self

Straight ahead with a haze - Thinking of something that happened visually

Left bottom corner - Dishonesty - Thinking about something they did
Directly left - Connecting a lie orally
Left top corner - Connecting a lie visually

Deliberate eye contact - Indicator of a liar trying to seem sincere

Step 3: Look at gestures toward the face

Touching the mouth - Dishonesty/Distress
Hand lightly on chin - Interest/Honesty
Touching the nose - Dishonesty/Distress

Step 4: Listen for vocal indicators

• Talking in a higher pitch
• Going on the offensive
• Talking faster or slower
• Quivering tone
• Stuttering or stammering
• Deflecting questions
• Stalling
• Exaggerating details
• Telling too much detail
• Repeating sentences

Step 5: Assess overall body language

• Sweating
• Trembling
• Blushing
• Difficulty swallowing
• Nodding in opposition
• Gulping
• Clearing ones throat
• Leaning away

Fidgeting - Dishonesty/Distress/Disagreement
Rubbing the neck - Dishonesty/Distress/Disagreement
Arms crossed - Dishonesty/Disagreement
Hands on hips - Restraint/Anger/Honesty

This works for a good amount of people but not everyone. I see a lot of these with people I see who lie a lot. And I mean a lot. You'd be surprised how easy it is to find someone lieing with these.
