Why was Rachel always giving us her morning routine? You know when she'd say things like (Wake up, brush teeth take a shower, etc?)
A:
That was her mom's way of brainwashing her. I didn't include this in the story, I think, but her mom would leave sticky notes of her routines and steps she needed to do everyday in order to fit the daily routine. But of course since Rachel's mom is a doctor, she'd make Rachel believe this would help her feel and be a normal teenage daughter. She did it everyday until it became her actual routine, turning her into an actual normal teenage girl.
Q:
I don't understand. If she's a trained killer and a cult leader's daughter, how did she not see through Hendery's lies and schemes?
A:
She was so brainwashed that she really didn't remember anything from what she was previously doing. That's why throwing the book at ole girl's head, almost brought it back because even throwing that book at someone's head, she saw what she was capable of without even remembering her capabilities.
