Michael's Point of View

Jenny was off to work leaving me alone working in the office again. That meant trying to make sure the kids don't kill one another. It's been five years of the same thing but surprisingly I never seem to get bored. The only thing I wish I had more time for was Jenny. She'd already gotten the funding for her project and her "thingies," as I call them had a patent on it. I've never been so proud of her and I never thought I'd be a stay at home dad! I was interrupted by Jenny cleaning up my office.

"I don't understand why I work everyday and you can't clean up your shit Michael. I mean you work too but I'm under a lot of pressure and I just can't grasp why I have to walk on fruit snack wrappers and Blue Ranch Doritos chips. You're a grown ass man." No she fucking didn't it took all of my being not to put her over my knee. If she was gonna act like one of my kids I was going to treat her like one. We've been together seven years and but she's been testing my patience.

"Would you like to repeat that again Jennifer?"

"I said pick up your fucking fruit snacks and Blue Ranch Dor-" her face paled, and I her pupils dilated. She dashed for my bathroom and threw up in the toilet. I couldn't help but smirk.

"Don't you look at me like that Michael. You did this to me. I can't be pregnant Michael. How could this happen?"

"I mean we clearly know how it happened."

"You smug bastard. If your knew what it was like to struggle for nine months. Men are so unbelievably peculiar. I'm in the middle of the most important part of my entire life. Wait a minute I had a period last week. That was probably that steak you made yesterday. False alarm." She rinsed her mouth out and slapped my chest. "Better luck next time bastard." As she walks out, little man runs in with tears in his eyes. Jenny pulled Mikey into her lap. He's seven years old she continues to baby him.

"What's wrong baby?"

"S-sofia is moving away." I cringed she and my mother shared the same name. Oh god his first heartbreak.

"Alright. Give me my son and let me handle this."

I refuse to let her baby him any longer.

"Go get dressed I'm taking you out for dinner." I poured myself some scotch and swirled it around.

"Let me have some dad." Yea right I got him a glass and poured some pepsi in it like I do everything. He sat on the couch and leaned back. He was becoming more like me everyday. Buddy sometimes losing someone is hard but after you heal you become an even stronger little man. You understand?"

"Yea dad. I get it." He downed his pepsi, wiped his mouth, straightened his shirt and walked out. I ran upstairs and put on a suit. "Beautiful as ever Jenny." The car pulled around and we stay in a comfortable silence. "So what's going on with your thingies?"

"Well it's going great we've discovered a new species of..." again she began using big words. I was focusing on everything but what she was saying. I couldn't help but notice her low cut top. Stop staring at her boobs girls know even for a millisecond when you do that. But God she was gorgeous, I was one lucky bastard. "So that's about it. What do you think?" Shit.

"Well I think you're amazing."

"Aww thanks baby!" She said while rubbing my cheek. Nice save Michael. Before I could continue to cover up anymore of my bullshit my phone rang.

"Boss we got a situation. We've got somebody scoping out your house. It almost looks like some midget."

"A midget seriously Paulie? Catch them, we'll be home soon."

"What's going on?" Jenny asked.

"Someone is lurking around our house. We have to go." I told our driver to speed I had my kids to worry about. We finally reached the house and Paulie directed me to the asshole hanging around my house.

"Sofia? Why are you hanging outside our home?"

"Well I leave tomorrow and I really wanted to see Mikey." I called Mikey downstairs. The both of them stayed up watching Spongebob. Eventually Sofia's parents came. And they hugged one another. He waved until their car was out of sight.

"You ok little man?"

"Yea. I won't cry I'm a big boy now." He put on his monkey pajamas and went to bed. I grabbed Jenny and pulled her onto the sofa with me. We watched Scandal marathons until she fell asleep. I put a blanket on her and headed to bed. I tried going to bed until I felt myself being stabbed by something. I flicked on the light and saw a note.

"Thats what you get big baby" -Jenny XOXO

There was nothing but Doritos all over the bed.

I saw the hunger games yesterday and it was amazing. Please everyone go see it! I wrote this on my phone, sorry for any mistakes. And I wanna dedicate this chapter to a person who put a smile on my face. I kinda felt like my writing was going to shit. And that comment made my life. So this chapter is definitely for you.
