Fortunately, I woke up a few minutes early.

I checked outside of my room to see if my father was home.

Wanna know what happened last night?

He called to tell me that he wasn't going to be home till 6 in the morning.

That's just absurd.

6 in the morning??

I checked the time and it said it was 7:44am. So, almost 8.

I leave at 8 to get to class by 8:20.

As I walked to his office, which I guessed he'd be in, I see that I was right.

He spinned on his chair, really zoned off.

"Good morning, father" I fold my arms while leaning on the door frame.

"Sweet Pea, hey" he says in the most laziest way.

"Something on your mind?"

"Well yes? I guess" his fingers ran through his hair as he brushed it back.

I raised an eyebrow.

He guesses?

"I mean, yes, there is. I don't know if I've just witnessed something that I'd probably regret being part of. It could possibly hurt my own daughter"

I stay quiet.

"Would you mind telling me?"

He looked hesitant before opening his mouth.

However, as expected, he didn't say anything.

"I'm sor-"

"Fine. It's fine. Keep more secrets from your own daughter. Let her be in danger then" I interrupted him and left the room to get ready to walk to school.

I just hate it when he does that.

Why hint about it, if you won't even tell me anything?

It's just gonna annoy the hell out of me.

"(Y/N), can't you just skip school today?" I hear my father ask from behind.

Carrying my bookbag on my back I turn to meet his dark brown eyes,

"Why?"

"I would be less worried"

"Okay, I will. On one condition though..." I had a small grin.

I know he isn't going to agree on it.

But even if I did wish to skip school, I need to find Damian.

"Tell me what's making you think I'm in danger" I finish.

He suddenly became a rock. Speechless.

"I knew it"

I walked over to the door and opened it.

He tried to stop and convince me to stay, but I spoke first,

"I'll be back in the evening. Vigilante problems" I wink.

Letting him know I was having this sass because of him.

Closing the door, I started walking to school.

"Have a good day, miss" I see Marcus coming out of nowhere.

"Thanks?" I quietly replied.

"Don't run into any trouble" he added.

I could sense his sarcasm from a mile away.
