Casidee watched the clown.
She gripped it in her small, left, hand.
Its eyes were full of clown makeup; its face was twisted into a frown. Or was it? She heard the teeming rain; she heard the voices of Mommy and Daddy in their bedroom; she heard Guggle whispering; she heard...
...Silence.

Casidee, who was seven, stared at the room.
She hated to deal with Mommy and Daddy.
They didn't care about her.

By the time she was asleep, the darkness in the house surronded her. The purple colors were garish; the colors weren't pink, they were Mommy's colors.

"Guggle, what is it you like to do?", she asked. The clown didn't look at her. He was looking at the door; at Mommy and Daddy's door.
"They're...".
But it was too late...
...Guggles was gone from her room.

The sounds disturbed the night.
"Martin...", Carae said.
"Someone's outside the room".
"Is that damned girl awake?", he yelled.
"She is asleep".
"Is she?".
He got dressed.
He flicked the bedroom light on.
He opened the door.
And saw Guggles.
"How'd you get here?".
And then Guggles grinned.
And was taken back to Casidee's bedroom.
Once he turned the light on, it was shoved onto the chair.
Then Casidee watched.
And Martin spoke.
"What's funny?".
"It's Guggles. He doesn't like you".
"Fuck it! It's 5:21 AM, dammit!".
And, when he left the room, Guggles's face was angry.

"That wasn't nice", Casidee said.
Guggles smiled.
It was now watching the dark.
And it was happy to be able to do what it wanted...since the evil inside it was about to be unleashed upon the house.
