APHRODITE'S VIEW

1 HOUR LATER.....

I groaned and writhed before slowly opening my eyes. Unfortunately, I found a pair of dark brown eyes drilling into mine. I instinctively let out a shriek and backed away, only to hit my head on headrest of the bed. I hissed and lifted my right hand to rub my head, and only then did I notice the shackles around my wrists.

"I tried to warn you." Eric said. He had been sitting at the edge of my bed, probably waiting to frighten me. He was successful.

"Why are we stuck together? Not like you didn't just try to kill me a while ago." I snapped and I heard him sigh. We were in a medical room, lined with 6 beds on each side of the room and cabinets full of equipment. And I just noticed our powers were gone again.

"Yes, we're stuck together." He said tightly. Just then, the door opened and we both turned to see Xenos walk in with a small smile. He actually had on a pair of dark blue jeans, a long sleeve black shirt and casual sandals. His hair was in a low ponytail. And well, let's just not talk about his face because it has already been repeatedly established in my mind that he was great looking.

"Glad to see your healing sessions went well. I bet you're both wondering why you have been handcuffed to each other. It is because I will not have any disputes between teammates on my team. You two will learn to tolerate each other. Call it another form of a bonding exercise. You have the rest of the day to talk while the others and I take part in training exercises." He told us, winked at me, then left the room.

I sighed and turned to stare at the empty beds beside me while I felt Eric shift on my bed.

About 10minutes passed without a word....I hummed quietly to myself while he tapped on the bedstand and tucked strands of his hair away.

"I don't like you very much." I began, still not looking at him. I heard him laugh emptily.

"I'm not on this planet for you to like me. Besides, I don't like you either."

"All this wouldn't have started if you hadn't yelled that evening and jumped into conclusions." I said firmly and he was quiet. I huffed and frowned, I wasn't apologizing first.

"I'm...shorrey." He muttered quickly under his breath.

"What was that?" I asked, though I had heard.

"You're not getting it again. Take it or leave it." He said and I flipped him off. He raised an eyebrow and I shrugged. Then it was quiet again....more tapping...more humming....less bonding. Until he sighed and ran a hand through his hair...

"Alright. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said the things I did and I shouldn't have played rough." He said calmly and I stared at him with a shocked expression.

"Okay, apology accepted. I'm sorry...actually, I'm not sorry for anything." I said and smirked.

"Fair enough." He replied, with the faintest of smiles tugging at his lips. We turned again and we resumed our pointless activity of humming and tapping. He cleared his throat but I didn't look up, I just made sure I was focused on playing with my fingers.

"You reminded me of someone I didn't want to remember. At all." He said softly and I snorted.

"You shouldn't have taken your anger out on me. I was only there to clear my mind."

"I know. And I'm sorry. Again." He said and looked me straight in the eye.

"Alright. No more apologies. This is getting too dramatic for me." I told him and we laughed softly. "Let's start over."
