It's hard to fix someone broken. You tried your best to give him advice for him to understand. You tried to straighten his bent principles in life. You tried to change his negative perceptions and convince him to be optimistic. His reasons are not enough for the worth of his life he wanted to end. He poisoned his mind that made his heart drown in misery. He felt tired and weak because of the walls of left hope collapsing around him. He built new walls made out of despondency jailing himself in it and listened to nobody, locking his own mind and throwing away the key. Making himself feel lonely and worthless.
I wanted to understand you. But it seems like you would never understand what I'm pointing out because of your close-minded thinking. Telling you the same advice, again and again, hoping it would be an eye-opener for you, hoping that maybe I could at least enlighten and illuminate in the darkness where you hid again.
