“The Land of Caves?” She had never heard of such a country, but guessed that it must’ve been a very small country for it to not even be well-known, especially by her.

“Yes, a very small country to the far west, just south of The Land of Earth. Iwayagakure, The Village Hidden in the Caverns, to be more precise. And I see you are from the Land of Fire. Not a surprise really, but don’t think that because I come from a place of less stature that I am to be underestimated, Kunoichi.”

“It doesn’t matter where you are from, I will protect my country’s villages and people from those that would wish them harm.” Hisayo declared as she slowly began to slide her first kodachi out from its sheath.

“Sensei…”

By this time, all three of the Chunin were up and prepared to take whatever actions necessary against their opponent. Akahana stood behind them with fear in her eyes as she witnessed the damage and the enemy shinobi in front of her.

“Ken, Suzume, take Akahana and her family to a safe place.” Hisayo began her swift orders, never once taking her eyes off of Shinobu, “Akira you’re with me.”

“Alright!” Akira happily exclaimed with a smirk, though he had a very serious glint in his eyes.

Shinobu smirked as well, watching how quick Ken and Suzume were to take his intended target away from the battle. “Two against one…now that doesn’t seem fair at all.” He spoke after a few moments.

“Life’s not fair man.” Akira flipped a kunai in his hand before throwing it at the man; both to test his speed and to avert his attention away from both him and Hisayo.

When Shinobu brought up his own kunai to deflect the shot, Akira charged forward, drawing on another kunai.

“Akira, wait!” Hisayo ran forward to stop him from falling into a trap.

Shinobu smirked as his body turned to water and fell to the ground after Akira had stabbed him. Akira’s eyes then widened when he felt a stab from behind, but his body turned to earth and crumbled to the floor. The sound of metal touching skin made Shinobu freeze in place, carefully glancing down at the blade that was held against his neck by Hisayo. He then glanced further back, seeing Akira behind him from his peripheral vision.

“Heh, gotcha.” Akira smirked as he held a kunai at Shinobu’s back.

Shinobu’s gaze then went back to Hisayo, hearing the crackling sound of her strange spheres that hovered behind her at different positions

“Hn, impressive indeed.” Shinobu slowly stood upright in an unthreatening manner so as not to be stabbed and have his head removed, “You two had already known that one was a clone. The boy ran in blindly on purpose; to lure me out to attack the ‘clone’ from behind so that you two could make your real moves. Wonderful coordination by the way, but how do you know that I am not simply a clone as well?” Shinobu smugly asked.

Hisayo’s eyes narrowed, “I know the scent of that clone now, and you definitely don’t smell like one.”

“Yeah, sensei’s nose can pick out a fake in any crowd. It doesn’t matter how many you form, as long as she has the scent.” Akira further added.
