I fidgeted with my jacket in the Uber Dad had ordered for me. Sadly, he had another flight to go on, so I had to go by myself to Shu's house. I watched anxiously as we turned into another street.

I was blown away by the houses. All of them must be mansions, being so massive like that. I wouldn't even be surprised if one of them had a tennis court, pool and bowling alley all in their house. I swallowed. It made my house look like a trash can.

Shu's parents must be rich. No wonder Shu was so smart. I bet one day, he's going to be rich and live in a mansion like these.

"Well, kid, we're here," the Uber driver gruffly said, scratching his beard. He had pulled up at a white-washed manor with a big garden and a verandah held up by white pillars. "Sixty five dollars."

"Okay," I handed him the money. I took a shaky breath, nervous for what I had in store for me. What if this was a misunderstanding? No, I tell myself. I read all the letters. I know the truth. "Have a good day."

I climbed out the car. He grinned at me. "You too."

I exhaled slowly and walked towards the house.
