I Waved Bye To Him .. Eased Out The Front Door

next day .. i'm hanging with the freaks again

observing the sharks steady parade .. alline drives up

tears streaming down her beautiful heart shaped face

the permanent metal plate embedded inside of her head

a past car accident .. didn't take away from her loveliness

sorry .. i'm sorry is all she was saying

over and over again .. I hugged her close

shushed her .. told her please don't worry

finally she and her family had come to realize

what evil her brother .. their monster son had done

she pulled up my shirt .. let out an audible gasp

ran over to the crowded commune tent

returned with peroxide and bandages

i'll never forget she doctored my wounds

whilst I lay prone on the end of the distant pier

watching a school of sharks swimming near us

alline threw away my cut up .. bloody tee

gave me an extra t-shirt she'd brought along

it was a special time for me to remember

genuine love .. her kind aura .. the atmosphere

boston .. santana .. hendrix playing  .. near sunset

we kissed for awhile .. then talked

it wasn't easy .. yet she got to me

I followed her back to her parents house

they'd forced the little monster to apologize

I went through the motions knowing he'd do it again

if given the chance .. pure hatred shone in his eyes

her parents insisted I sleep on their divan

alline bent over .. gave me a long kiss goodnight

their a/c froze me .. I slept in my red flannel pajamas

everyone went to bed .. later, alline went to her room

along about one a.m. I heard a scraping metal noise

alline's insane little brother .. crazy david

stood near .. in the dim-lit darkened hallway

snipping scissors with one hand .. other hand

making stabbing motions in the air with a knife

what the fuck .. crazy terror grasped my mind

I waved bye to him .. eased out the front door
