I never slowed my walking pace
to get his attention .. i'd looked hard at Rusty
he'd seen i'd dropped something in his seat
i'd told him .. sinsimilla buds .. marijuana
hurry taxi driver dude .. hide it fast
i'd kept right on walking
towards the store's entrance
when four distinct sounds
of tires screeching to a halt
had surrounded me
i'd glanced back at Rusty
when i'd feinted throwing something
he'd been steadily moving .. still
in the back recesses of my mind
i'd sensed I was close to getting busted
the last few blocks i'd walked
i'd observed the four unmarked cars
with their headlights off .. shadowing me
what the cocky narcs never even realized
i'd been on the lookout .. observing them first
from the back doorsteps of my house
i'd seen their clumsy surveillance tactics
whilst they'd been slowly driving
around .. circles around my block
standing behind trees I wasn't seen
inbetween their sneaky rounds
i'd slipped away towards the levee
walked the other side .. near the river
one narc saw me as i'd crossed over
i'd begun zigzagging .. walking faster
I lost them after that
they'd picked me up again
after i'd to cross back over
I was a couple of short city blocks
from reaching the EZ-Pak store
fast forward .. my plan was working
to draw all their attention towards me
all the while Kilo was collecting
my eighty pounds of high grade pot
i'd stashed in a few rental houses
he'd be taking all of it
to a vacant rental house
a long way across town
meanwhile Rusty and I were in handcuffs
metro narcotic strike force's drug search
came up empty .. angry .. they'd to let us go
