Poem #93

The night didn't bring comfort anymore
Howls of sorrow, a great loss
Echoes in the forest
The pack has lost a wolf,
A healer in a frenzy
Scurrying away in the daunting night
Running away from the future
Leaving a newly found home
A home in the narrowed rivers
And she didn't know how to swim
Tripping on the roots of the old oak tree
The angry growl didn't make her slow down her speed
