You wanted to be alone
So I left you alone
To deal with your demons alone

For I made the misery worse
Instead of bringing comfort
I prolonged the healing course

Losing apathy i was unkind
For I ran out of patience
And allowed myself to demand
what my heart coveted, with no fright

But I got stuck in the unwinding
Wilderness, of the beauty
I had never seen
Of the lies that held promises
Promises no-one abided by
