"You'll never catch me." I teased running as fast as I could so he wouldn't catch me. I looked behind me and saw that he was closing in on me.

"I always do Lindsey." James yelled back at me. We always did this. I would run as fast as I could and as far as I could trying to beat him, I always lost. My velocity decreased and  I looked over my shoulder. James was dangerously close to me.

I ran as fast I could, but as always I was getting tired. My stamina wasn't as good as his, but I wasn't one to give up so easily.

"Gotcha!" He said grabbing me by the waist, pulling me down with him as he fell to the ground. With a squeal, I went down. Heavily panting we laid in the grass next to each other.

"I miss you." I confessed looking at him. Looking back at me, he stroked my arm before looking away again.

"What are you doing Linds?" He asked after a while.

"I don't know." I answered truthfully.

"Are you happy?" He asked turning his head to look at me.

"Yes." I said playing with a twig. He laughed at me and I looked at him.

"I thought we promised never to lie to each other." He said, I smiled remembering the day we agreed on that.

"I just don't wanna get hurt again. I feel like I'm falling down this deep, dark pit. And I'm never reaching the bottom." I said looking at him. I loved talking like this with him. No secrets. I missed this. I missed him.

"Sometimes it's okay to fall Lindsey. You won't always get hurt." He looked at me like he knew for a certainty that he was right.

"You can't be sure of that." I replied smirking at the twig my hand.

"You won't get hurt Lindsey. Believe me." He said. He sounded sincere and I believed him. After all, no lies.

"Let's go." He said getting up and I did the same. Draping his arm over my shoulders we started walking back. I let the twig fall.

"I love you Lindsey, don't you ever forget that." He said kissing my temple.

"I know. I love you too."

I opened my eyes and looked around my room. It was a dream. I was kind of saddened by it. I missed my brother so much. I wish he was here. I need him so much.

There was someone laying behind me with their arm around me. Waking up not knowing who was spooning me was a bit creepy. I tried to turn my neck as much as I could so I could see who it was. I caught a glimpse of blonde hair and I relaxed.

I flipped over so I was facing him. His eyes were slightly open. We stared at each other for a few good minutes. He smirked pulling me into his torso.

"What are you doing here?" I asked nuzzling into his shirt.

"I came over with your phone after your maniac best friend texted me." He said and I giggled at how accurate his description of Steph was, "I came up to check on you after a while. You were already sound asleep. But you were shaking like crazy so I cuddled you, for warmth." He explained.  His voice was deep, with every word he spoke I felt his chest vibrate.

"And my mom let you?" I asked a bit stunned at the fact that my mother would be okay with a guy randomly spooning me.

"How could she not?" He retorted, "I'm lovable." He added. I looked up at him. Our faces a few inches apart. He was a cocky bastard, but he made me smile nonetheless. He inched his face closer to mine until our noses were just slightly brushing against each other. With a smile I squished our noses even more.
