Tally and I were now standing in the school parking lot.

“I love you Alisa.” She said while giving me a big hug and a kiss.

Not too far from where we stood was Tally’s father. He had this old time truck. At the back of the truck was cement, bricks and other stuff. Tally’s father was a builder. Next to him was his wife. If their truck had space I knew they would have offered me a ride home but as usual her father’s vehicle was filled with work materials. That was because he always picked up Talya and her mother after he finished work. Tally’s brothers worked a block from their home and so they usually walked.

Her younger sister, Mia was 6 and their neighbor, Mrs. Pamela collected Mia when she picks up her daughter who also attends the same school.

“Love you too. See you tomorrow Tally.”

I gave her a bigger hug and planted a kiss on her right cheek.

I loved Talya and she has been my best friend for 12 years now. She understood me and I didn’t even have to voice my thoughts and feelings into words.

I had completely forgotten my bicycle at the back of Sir Blanc truck.

I turned left and walked towards the truck.

Should I take the bicycle? What if his vehicle has an alarm? Maybe I should go and tell him that I am taking it just in case.

I thought and thought about it and then decided to take it. Sir Blanc seemed to be in an upset mood and it was probably best that I left him alone.

As I was about to pull the bicycle out I heard someone utter behind me “You will trigger my alarm.”

His breathe was very hot against my neck. He was too close to me. I could feel his body heat and feel his breathe. I was feeling intoxicated right now; dizzy and very, very breathless. I couldn’t breathe.

He put off his alarm and opened the passenger door for me.

I stood there unable to move. What just happened?

“Any day now.” He said.

He was waiting for me to enter the vehicle.

His face no longer bore the anger and the irritation I saw in class. His face showed something else. I couldn’t quite grasp what it was.

Did he feel the heat and burning sensation I felt when he was so close?

I stepped into the vehicle and sat down. Being the gentleman that he is he closed my door for me.

Soon we were pulling out of the school parking lot.

The drive home was quiet. None of us spoke or said anything.

The only noise in the vehicle was the radio station which was playing music.

Soon my favourite song started playing, ‘Bruk it down’ by Mr. Vegas.

I wanted to start going wild and to start gyrating but I couldn’t because Sir Blanc was right next to me. Truth is I could dance as good as those girls on the video but I respected myself too much to do it in front of people. It was something I would do in private. I loved music and I loved to dance. I inherited that from my mother. I remember the many dances she used to teach me when I was younger. I miss my mother. Why did she have to die in a car accident?

Instead I moved my head from side to side and tapped my foot.

Sir Blanc unexpectedly turned up the volume.

“Like the music?”  He asked

“Yes.” I answered weakly.

He gave me his sexy, glistening smile and said “me too.”
