Chapter 28- The Night

Dawn slept soundly that night while Ash

looked through his wonder losing himself in thought. “The

league will begin two weeks from now” Ash thought. “Tobias

and some other nasty rivals will want a piece of me no doubt,”

Ash sighed. Ash picked up his pokeball and polished it along with the

rest of his gear. Dawn cuddled in her blanket, moaning softly in her

sleep. Ash got up and went back to sleep, he laid himself against the

bed and slept with her for the rest of the night. The next day Dawn

shook Ash awake.

“C'mon todays the day,”

“And what day is that?” Ash

groaned.

“The day for the festival of

course”

“What do you want to do?”

“Go to the festival of course”

she pouted.

“Sorry, It's kinda early,”

Ash apologized.

“It's fine but hurry and dress we

have to go,”

Dawn and Ash quickly left the dormitory

and into the winter breeze of the festival. Ash and Dawn stood close

to one another as they made their way through the festival streets.

The festival was a large circus encampment full of rides and games

for everyone to enjoy. Dawn noticed a man announcing a prize to

anyone who won his circus game.  Dawn ran up to the circus game and

begged Ash to play the game win the prize; Ash agreed, the man told

him how the game was played. Three bottle pins were set up and Ash

picked up a ball, aiming at the pins. Ash launched his ball and

missed by a few inches, Dawn giggled at his failed attempt.

'I like to see you do better Dawn”

he rolled his eyes.

Ash passed the ball to Dawn, she only

laughed at brought her necklace. Dawn charged herself and threw the

ball with lightning force straight into the target destroying it on

contact with a loud electric explosion. Ash dropped sweat, humiliated

completely by Dawn's superiority.

“Here is your prize, your very

own zaptiger,” the man gave Dawn.

Dawn dragged Ash to the nearest Ferris

wheel and seated him next to her. The cart brought them to the top of

the world, providing them a large beautiful sunset of the world and

it's meadow of Gracidea

flowers.

“It's quite a sight isn't it

Dawn?”

“Yeah” Dawn sighed.

“What is it Dawn?” Ash said

worried.

“I never got to tell you..”

“Tell me what?”

“How I feel about you..”

“Whhat?”

“Ash.. I love you” she

kissed him.

For a while the two smooched for a hot

five minutes. All their problems the league, rivals, villains

disappeared and there was nothing left but the tow of them. The ride

finished it's clockwise movement; Ash and Dawn went back to the

dormitory to rest for the night.

“Good night Ash”

“Sweet dreams. Dawn”

The two went to sleep, Ash thought Dawn

was a eccentric girl but she was a beautiful one. The two had shared

similar feelings for another since the two began their journey in

Sinnoh. But for a while Ash though only he himself had feelings for

her, That was proven wrong this night.

The night hid the presence of the

renegade group. Grunts and leaders were about in secret meetings.

Lucius made his way through the rubble of people to the master. Where

Lucius was eager to make his report. He bowed before his leader and

gave him details of what had conspired.

“And so Master the Purge has

finished it's cycle,” Lucius noted to the master.

“Excellent when this league is

over we will begin the long awaited annihilation of the mortal

presence in this world,”
