" He found the organ transplant project's third victim. "

None of them knew the existence of a third victim all of these times, which explains how surprised they are by now. Neither of them let a word out of their mouth for a few seconds, until Kimberly decided to talk.

" Let's go and find that person then. " She said before she slowly moved to the edge of the bed then placed her bare feet on the cold tile. She felt chills rushing up her body instantly when part of her feet landed on the floor.

Kimberly knew it might be their only clue and opportunity in order to get a step closer to those scientists, so they can't afford to lose it.

" W-wait, you should stay here. I'll go by myself. " Jackson stopped the girl from moving another inch by holding her wrist. Now that he knew the truth he was never told, he was certain in not repeating the same mistake by letting the girl fell sick again or else it would just delay all his plans. He then stood up from where he sat, about to reach for the doorknob.

" No, I'm fully recovered now. Let's just go together, although I still hate you for leaving me that day. " The girl said, before catching up next to Jackson. Somehow, Kimberly was already used to her job and thought that it has always been fun and adventurous. The fact that the girl wanted to help, secretly plastered a smile on his face.

" Fine, don't blame me if you fall sick again. It's still raining out there. " Jackson tried to hide his smile as he twisted the doorknob open and step out of the room with Kimberly behind him. There's a window just infront of them by now, showing the view of a heavy rain. They could barely see anything due to the blurry, to be accurate. Jackson stared at that sight for awhile before he turned behind to face Kimberly.

" I know, that is why I already prepared since I know you wouldn't want to teleport both of us. " The girl replied as she held out an umbrella, while smiling brightly— thinking how smart she was in her mind. Since it was a day off for Kimberly's driver, the girl had no other option but to walk.

Jackson stared at the girl without giving any replies before the girl gave up on waiting and anticipating that reply. Kimberly expected that Jackson would at least praise her smartness, but he did not. She then shook her head lightly before walking down the stairs,

" I'll see you at Karry's shop then, " Kimberly left Jackson behind, knowing that the guy would teleport to his friend's shop and arrive there swiftly. But, she stopped right when she felt the umbrella was out of her grasp. She then whipped her head towards the guy,

" Let's go. "

" Wait, you're not gonna teleport there? " Kimberly asked, her head tilted a little in confusion. As she was about to snatch her umbrella back from his grip, Jackson reacted even faster by tightening his grip on the umbrella before he lifted his hand away,

" No. Hurry, we can't afford to waste any second. " Jackson replied, he knew that he couldn't teleport both of them at the same time because according to Karry, it needs quite an amount of energy. He was clear that he hadn't have his meal since yesterday, and it's dangerous for him to do that. At the same time, he knew couldn't leave the girl once again on the rainy day or else the history is going to repeat itself.

" Okay, fine. Let me hold the umbrella at least, I don't need your help in that. " The girl insisted, while pointing towards the umbrella in Jackson's grip. She almost thought that Jackson was ignoring her the moment he did not reply and was focused on opening the umbrella. Kimberly took a deep breath, decided to say something but she was a second late,

" Just let a guy who's taller than you hold it. It doesn't make sense if someone short holds it, especially when she's short by 10 centimetres. " Kimberly would've appreciate it if he was not being too detailed and accurate of how short she was, but he just have to mention it. She wondered how could those words came out from his mouth with such a cold tone. The girl bit her lips, about to defend herself and once again she was a second late,
