*Frankies pov*

[Two weeks later Paul and I haven't really had any time for each other I'm so busy with the restaurant and he's pulling a lot of double shifts I go to the firehouse with lunch when Gabby says:]

"Hey sweetheart. It's been a while since we've seen you around here thought you forgot about us."

"No I've just been really busy. Is Paul here? We've just kept missing each other and I thought we could go to lunch."

"Um he's actually not here he went out with some women."

"Oh. Do you know when he'll be back?"

"I'm so sorry I don't."

"How many women?"

"Three they were dressed all business like. How are you doing?"

"I'm fine."

"Honey you lost your baby. That's not an easy thing to come back from. Have you talked to someone or Paul?"

"Really Dawson I am okay. Could you tell him that I stopped by and to call me please?"

"For sure."

"Well enjoy I've got errands."[I go to the Julep and walk in everyone says:]

"Hey Frankie."

"Hey guys."[Derek is sitting at our table he looks up and comes over to me he breaks down sobbing I hold him tightly we sit down he says:]

"Thanks for meeting me."

"Yea. I'm so sorry Derek, Hannah was a great woman."

"I just can't believe it. I never thought I'd have to worry about her over here at home you know? I can't even go to the house. I'm so pissed!"

"Come on we're going to get through this together."[We drive out to the batting cages we get out leaving our phones in the car we bat for hours screaming and crying and letting go it's 5pm when we go to the diner my staff is waiting I open the doors Derek and I go into the office he says:]

"I'm so proud of you Frankie. You actually accomplished your wildest dreams."

"Please I'm a workaholic who doesn't know how to take a break and who hides her feelings."

"Even so you still built this restaurant back up and made it great again. You've got a packed house every night and people love it!"

"I don't have all of my dreams accomplished. There's still a few more I need to get done."

"Get married and have a kid right?"

"Yea. I should go help them but you can stay with me as long as you need or want to."

"No. What about Paul? Won't he get mad?"

"He doesn't pay my bills. You're staying with me and I'm not taking no for an answer Thompson."[1am we're closed we go to my apartment and walk in I go into the hall closet get out a blanket and some pajamas I give them to Derek he says:]

"Thanks. If you happen to run into my family you haven't seen me."

"Understood."[Derek and I talk for a while drinking wine it's 1:45 he says:]

"You're pissed off right?"

"About what?"

"Losing your baby you walk around saying that you're okay but I know you very well Choi. You can't hide your feelings with me."

"I hate how you can read me so easily but then again it's also why I love you Thompson."

"Same here."[I lean in and kiss Frankie slowly she doesn't move after a few minutes she whispers:]
