Chapter 33: Not Now, Not Ever

     "Here you go, my lady.", Steve opened door for me and let me first to come in.

     "Thank you.", I smiled at his gesture and entered the Pop's.

     We sat at the table in the corner and waited for a waitress. One girl came to us. I never saw her before.

     "Hello, what can I get you?", she smiled.

     "I'll just have chocolate milkshake. And you?", Steve turned towards me.

     "Vanilla milkshake.", I smiled, looking at her.
     She looked very familiar.
    
     "Sure. Anything else?", she wrote that down and then looked at us.

     "Nope, we're good.", Steve said and I nodded with agreement.

     She's really familiar, I feel like I saw her somewhere.

     "Betty? Is everything okay?", Steve asked me.

     "Yeah, why?"

     "Nothing, you just been staring at our waitress.", he said. "Do you know her or something?"

     "No, no...I just zoned out. That's all.", I smiled taking his hands into mine.

     "Well, well, well...What do we have here?", I heard a voice behind me and I didn't even have to turn around to see who it was because I already knew. "Love birds."

     "Billy be nice.", Liz said. "Hey, Betty...And Steve, right?", she smiled and Steve just nodded. "Can we maybe join you guys?", she asked politely.

     "Well...", Steve and I said at the same time, but Billy interrupted us.

     "Great.", Billy said. "Would you mind, sis?", he looked at me, waiting for me to move so he can seat.

     I didn't want to start a fight, so I didn't say anything and just moved. He sat next to me and Liz sat next to Steve.

     "So what you two are talking about?", he looked at Steve and then at me, putting his evil smile on face.

     "Some stuff that you don't have to know about.", I said rudely.

     Steve looked at me weirdly and I just smiled.

Steve's P.O.V.

     After we finished gym class, our whole team went to shower. Billy was there too and he was looking at me all the time.

     His team won against mine and I have a feeling that he really enjoyed destroying me. He kept pushing me through the whole game, both mentally and physically.

     And not to mention last night, he just kept staring me with this killer look. Maybe he doesn't like the idea of me dating his stepsister? That must be it.

     "You need something, man?", I finally spoke, because he didn't stop staring at me.

     "Easy, Harrington.", he said. "Are you mad because my team won? I guess today is just not your day, man.", he smirked.

     "Dude, can you just fuck off already?", I was seriously pissed off, I couldn't take it anymore.

     "Not until you fuck off of Betty.", I knew that was the problem. "I'm pretty sure that pretty boy like you has nothing to worry about. Plenty of other bitches in the sea.", he turned off my water. "Am I right?"

     I looked at him. "Look dude, I get it. She's your sister and..."

     "Hey, don't call her that!", he raised his voice.

     "What?"

     "Sister. She's not my sister."

     "Whatever she is to you, I'm not backing off. Do you get that?", I turned on my water again and continue with showering.

     He looked at me from head to the toe. "If you're treating her with that, believe me she'll back off herself.", he commented. "Anyway she liked mine better.", he said leaving me.

     What the fuck did he just say?

Betty's P.O.V.

     "Are you ready?", I asked Steve, but he was just staring at one dot the whole time. "Steve."

     "Betty, is there something you wanna tell me?", he looked at me.

     "What do you mean?", I frowned.

     "I mean, are you hiding something from me?", he asked once again.

     "Steve, what are you talking about? Why are you being like this?", I wanted to touch his face, but he just got up and pushed me away.

     "Betty, I know.", he whispered not looking at me.

     "What Steve?! What?", I was loosing my patience.

     "About you and Billy, goddamnit!", he yelled this time.

     I was speechless, I didn't know what to say.

     "Why are you silent?! You're not gonna deny it?", I still didn't say anything. "So I am right?"

     "How did you..."

     "How did I what? Find out?", he raised his eyebrows. "Billy fucking told me!"

     "That asshole.", I murmured.

     "Is he 'the guy'? The guy that took your virginity? The guy you don't wanna talk about? Huh?!", he said in an angry tone.

     "Yeah, he is the guy!?", I said.

     "I FUCKING KNEW IT!! I DIDN'T WANT TO BELIEVE, BUT IT'S FUCKING TRUE!", he yelled.

     "Would you calm down!", I raised my voice.
    
     "I WILL CALM DOWN WHEN YOU TELL ME THE WHOLE TRUTH!"

     "It didn't matter to me, Steve. That's why I never said anything!!".

     He threw his fists down and screamed. "YOU'RE A FUCKING LIAR BETTY!", he screamed.

     "I AM NOT!", I screamed back.

     Steve suddenly grabbed my face and kissed my lips so hard. I put my hands on Steve's cheeks and started kissing his lips. His lips moved down to my neck. "You don't know what you're doing to me.", he murmured.

Next morning...
    
     I heard alarm and saw I wasn't in my bedroom. I was in Steve's and I remembered everything from last night. I start kissing him, so he would wake up. He opened his eyes, looked at me and smiled.

     "Still mad at me!?", I asked.

     "No. Absolutely not.", he replied. "But...", he added while getting up. "I have a feeling like I'm gonna lose you, Betty. I'm gonna fucking lose you.", he said.
    
     "What are you talking about!? What are you on!? Whatever it is, you need to stop taking it cause it's messing with your mind.", I said. "Billy's got NOTHING on you. I repeat, NOTHING. You're my boyfriend. I'm very faithful to you, you know that. I was raised that way. Please look at me.", I told him and he look up at me. "I'm not leaving you, Steve Harrington. Not now, not ever.", I said.
    
     "That's what I wanted to hear. Now come here.", he smiled, hugging me.
