I closed my eyes and massage my temples. I looked at the clock on the wall. Alas dos na ng hapon, I didn't notice na halos tatlong oras na pala akong nakayuko at nagbabassa ng ibat ibang kaso.

Kinusot ko ang mga mata ko a pasimpleng tiningnan si Lewis. Hindi rin nito inaalis ang mga mata sa papel, tutok na tutok ito sa ginagawa. Napabuntong hininga na lamang ako.

I haven't eat anything yet. Kahit na lumabas si lewis noong lunch time ay nanatili lamang ako sa loob. I don't have any appetite today. Mabigat ang pakiramdam ko magmula ng magising ako. I feel like something is hammering my head, dumagdag pa ang sang tambak na kaso na kailangan kong basahin.

Bigang pumasok sa isipan ko ang tungkol sa sweldo ko. Hindi ko pa pala sya natatanong kung may sweldo ba ako o wala. Masyadong naukupa ang isip ko mng kaba noong unang beses na nagkita kaming muli.

I sighed. Ibabalik ko n asana ang sarili sa ginagaw ng biglang tumunog ng cellphone ko. It was an unknown number kaya naman agad na kumunit ang nook o. Wala akong pnagbibigyan ng numero ko kahit na sino man.

Without any reason gumawi ang tingin ko kay Lwewis. He wasn't looking at me, nakatuon pa din ang mga mata nito sa files na binabahasa. Namatay ang tawag pero nanatili ang mga mata ko sa kanya.

Wala pang ilang Segundo ang lumilipas, muling tumunog ang cellphone ko. I noticed how his eyebrows started to form a deep v line.

I think his irritated because of my phone's sound. Natauhan naman ako dahil sa reaksyon nya at nagmamadaling sinagot ang tawag.

"Hello?" I traced

"Fvck cous!! Don't have any plan of telling me about you being here in the Philippines? Don't have any plan of telling me about the things that I've missed for the past years? Don't you really have any plan?" the familiar voice on the ither line scowled.

Brent. I chuckled knowing that it was Brent who's being a mad dog on the other line. Nawala ang mabigat na pakiramdam ko ng marinig ang boses ng pinsan ko. I haven't seen Brent for the past years.

"Quit laughing. It's not funny. Bea and Fourth knows everything that had happened to you even your asshole ex knows it, but me? You guys fvcking took my right to know what is happening—"

Napanguso na lang ako upang mapigilan ang ngiti sa inasta ng pinsan ko. I wonder how he fmds put? Maybe the information slipped of Bea's mouth. Now I bein bothered about Bea knowing my secrets. I snorted to myself.

"Hey, I'm sorry okay? Everything was in chaos that time. I know you understand." Malambing kong wika.

"Whatever. Where are you right know?" he asked.

"Trevino Justice and Associates." I said as I take a look o Lewis. Lalon kumunot ang noo nito. He's brows are in knotted form already.

But he still look so fvcking handsome—

"Hey, Lev. Still there?" and Brent's voice awaken me.

"Yeh, you saying what?"

"Tss. Gonna fetch you later. So what time are you going home?" napangiti ako. My little cousin miss me.

"You can fetch me at 7 then. Can't wait to see you bye. Gonna finished load of files to meet you later See'ya." I said with a smile.

Talking to Brent refreshen me. I feel like I am back to my safe time. That time when I care about nothing.

I can already see the annoyed amd betrayed face of my cousin that I haven't seen in a while. My last memory of him, was his face with a playful smirk.
