"Earth to Piper!"
Namalayan ko nalang na nakatingin na silang lahat sa akin. Nasa isa kaming pabilog na mesa, nakahanda ang mga iba't-ibang klase ng pagkain sa harapan namin. Para nila akong hinihintay at hindi ko alam bakit.
"Ha?" I smiled and looked around at the restaurant to find a clue of what's going on.
"P, it's your turn to lead the prayer for our food." Braylee smiled, making me realize what I was missing out on.
"Yan kasi kung sino-sinong iniisip." Panunukso ni Warren habang may ngisi sa kanyang mukha.
Napairap nalang ako. Naghalo-hala na ang isip ko. Hindi na nga maalis sa isip ko si Apollo, nadagdagan pa tuloy dahil sa sinabi sa akin ni Braylee kanina. Bago kasi kami pumunta rito sa restaurant para maghapunan, umuwi muna kami sa dorm para makapagbihis siya at makakuha ng damit pati na sapatos. Ayaw ni Braylee na makita siya ng mga magulang niya sa ganung ayos kaya sa dorm nalang kami nagtungo. At habang nandun kami, kinwento ni Braylee ang tungkol sa pagtulong sa kanya ni Cohen. Braylee believes that Cohen helped her wholeheartedly, but I can't help but think otherwise. Cohen won't do that without ulterior motives. He probably did that to get into my pants. No fcking way. I'm not losing my virginity to a fckboy.
"Piper si Apollo oh!" Biglang sambit ni Lucho sabay turo sa likuran ko kaya agad akong napangiti at lumingon. Nang wala akong makitang Apollo, humarap agad ako sa kanila at labis akong nainis nang makita ang mga ngiti sa mukha nila. Shit. Ako na naman ang target sa tuksuhan nito!
"May nahulog na ata ah!" Humalakhak si Lucho habang may makahulugang ngisi.
"Pay up, Bognacia." Ngumisi naman si Warren sabay lahad ng kamay sa direksyon ni Riley na ikinangiwi nito.
"You made a bet over me!" I gasped and glared at them both, slapping my palms on the table.
"You made a bet and didn't tell me!" Braylee gasped and slapped her palms on the table too; but instead of the table, her palms hit the utensils, sending it flying and almost hitting her face. "Oopss?" Braylee giggled, making us all laugh.
All of a sudden, Riley stopped laughing while looking at my direction. His eyebrows suddenly raised and his eyes expressed hostility. Out of instinct, I looked behind me and saw a group of girls coming towards us.
I sighed upon realizing who these pradal-clad two-faced bitches are. Kahit ang mga kaibigan ko, tuluyan ding natahimik.
"Hey Piper! Still hanging out with these people huh?" The girl in the middle greeted me with a sly grin on her face. Dressed in metallic romper and a beret, she looked at me from head to toe as if she's trying to intimated me. She's even looked at my friends as if nandidiri siya sa kanila. Nakakatawa.
