"Lizzy! You're going to be late!"I yell pulling her suitcases to the front door, opening it

"I know! I know, I just don't want to forget anything!"She shouts back

Seeing the taxi driver, shaking his head looking at me I half wave "Lizzy! The taxi is going to leave your ass!"I yell again stepping away from the door

"Why do I have to go?"She whines leaving her room, grabbing her carry on off the kitchen table

"Lizzy, we talked about this. You're their granddaughter, they need to see you" I argue stepping outside into the cold

"I don't wanna go to Hawaii. I want to stay with you, New York is better than Hawaii"

"Lizzy, who are you trying to lie to? It's fucking freezing here and Hawaii has perfect weather. You will be gone for only a week, so enjoy it"I explain looking at her dumbly wheeling her bags to the taxi

"Why don't you go if it is so perfect?" She sarcastically says

We put the things in the trunk of the taxi before looking her in the eyes "You know my relationship with them is non-existent. However, that will not stop you from spending time with them. Plus, they paid for this trip last month. You can't bail on them. Now come here"I smile softly "I love you"

"Yeah yeah, love you too" She replies back with a chuckle hugging me tightly

"Be good, no drinking I don't care what your grandfather says"I warn her

"Yes mom, I promise" She laughs getting in, closing the door behind her

I knock on the passenger door, motioning him to roll the window down. He rolls it down, lending over into the seat to see me clearly

"I'm sorry for the wait, here's a tip "I said with sympathy handing him a five dollar bill

"Thanks" He smiles taking it before starting the engine up again

I wave bye as they drive away, I watch until I can no longer see their car. Freezing, blowing into my hands to try and warm them up, I run back into the house.

Looking around the messy place, I start picking up. I hate Lizzy leaving me, I can never focus on my task at hand without knowing what she is doing. With her in college, I know she is safe and is protected. I'm close enough to her to race over if needed, but with her on an island far from me stresses me out.

If I could, I would never allow the relationship with her and my grandparents. She would end contact with them if I told her to, but I know she secretly holds them close because they are the last link to our parents history. I want that bond with them sometimes but, after my parents died, they tried to sell the house and wanted all rights to everything my parents left us, which was hardly anything. They stole Lizzy from me when she was little, it was a battle to get her back. They claimed her living with them was better, but it wasn't. I was her home, our life was here. Having to put trust in them was hard once Lizzy got older and wanted to visit them. She knows why I dislike them, even had a bad taste in her mouth towards them but, my reasons for disliking them aren't hers.

Sighing, as the memories are too painful, I head to the kitchen. I glance over and notice the paperwork that Joshua emailed me from our cafe meet up. Blood rushing to my cheeks, I remember my word vomit.

"I want to have your baby"

I gasp as he turns around to face me. My cheeks heat up and I feel sick to my stomach

"I have no idea why it came out like that, I-"

"Excuse me? Who are you?"He questions ignoring my word ramble

"I'm so sorry, I'm Noel Beckam. I was matched with you, I want to be your surrogate" I explain showing him my phone with the company email
