"So you like it?" Jack asked excitedly.

I beamed. "Are you kidding?! I've always wanted to try this!" I squealed at the huge maze in front of me, made up of super tall, manicured bushes. They were so tall I couldn't see over them or under them.

"Are you ready?" Jack whispered to me. Damn it, whenever he does that, my knees go weak and my breath becomes short. He needs to stop doing that whole whispering thing so much.

"You're going to lose." I said confidently.

He scoffed. "In you're dreams, babe."

I smiled sweetly and stood on my tippy toes, putting my lips close to his and then brushed them against his ear seductively. "Go." I whispered, taking off towards the entrance to the bush maze.

I heard his footsteps behind me until I made a turn that he didn't and we were separated. I ran as fast as I could and took random turns and twists, coming to a few dead ends in the process.

"I'm winning!" I heard Jack's voice in the distance.

I giggled. "Keep telling yourself that!" I called back, coming across a set of stairs that led to a small balcony type thing. It was kind of like a bridge over the maze. I grinned, now I could see the layout.

I leaned over the edge and analyzed the whole maze and found the way out quickly. I was about to go down the other set of stairs when I heard Jack again.

"Hey!" He called. I looked up and saw that he was on another one of the bridges on the other side of the maze.

I smiled smugly at him. "Hello." I yelled back.

"Having fun?" He asked.

I beamed and nodded. "A blast."

"You're gorgeous, you know that?" He said. It was a good thing that he was so far away so that he couldn't see the bright blush on my cheeks.

"Are you going to think that after I beat you?" I called, running towards the stairs and continuing through the maze towards the exit.

I kept running until I saw the exit sign above one of the large bushes. I grinned and ran out of the bushes into the open space between the maze and the building.

Seconds later, Jack popped out of the bushes, sauntering over to me with a grin on his face.

"Ha! I win!" I shrieked, falling into a small happy dance.

When I stopped dancing around like an idiot, Jack put his hands on my waist and pulled me close then did that whispering thing. I swear, that's going to be the death of me. "And look at that, you're still gorgeous."

I giggled, my face turning red. "Thanks." Was all I could find to speak.

Jack chuckled, "Are you ready to go?"

I nodded. "Yeah, sure."

"Don't get too excited, we aren't done yet."

I sighed but didn't bother asking him what we were doing next.

Five minutes later, we were driving through a meadow and the sun was setting. We got out of the truck and Jack filled the bed of the truck with pillows and blankets and then we laid down inside of the truck. I rested my head on Jack's warm, welcoming chest as we looked up at the pretty sunset.

"I hope you had fun." Jack said in a low voice.

I smiled and rested one of my hands on his hard abs. "I did. I had a lot of fun."

"Good. I used to come here a lot with my family and with Natalie before my parents went all insane." He said softly as he gently pet my hair.

"We should come back. And bring Natalie. Do you think she'd like it?"
