I thought a lot about this and this is what I’m gonna do.
I will delete Dork Diaries 8 and make another DD8 but it will be a different plot.
You know how Dork Diaries 7 My Version is its own thing? Well this new DD8 will be its own thing too.
So here’s what’ll happen:
1. It will not follow Dork Diaries 7 My version or the real DD 7
2. It is its own independent story
3. Nikki and Brandon have not kissed yet nor Bf and Gf
4. MacKenzie and Nikki are NOT friends.
5. Below is my own plot that this new book will follow
Westchester Country Day is holding a play for the public. The entire eighth grade is involved in this play. Nikki learns that Brandon is good at acting and gets the lead male role. The thing is, the lead female roll and the lead male role (Brandon) shares a kiss at the end of the play. Nikki and MacKenzie are at war for the part. But who will get it? Find out in my version of Dork Diaries 8!
Ok, that’s that. The reason why I’m improvising and deleting the other DD8 is because it’s not really doing well because of the fact that some people haven’t even read Dork Diaries 7 and we’re not that excited for it as much as we were excited for DD7 since the sixth book ended in a cliff hanger and we wanted to know what happened.
Get what I’m saying? So I will try my BEST to make this new book absolutely perfect. Here’s what I will change for the better.
1. I will not make it too romantic. I will maintain that balance that Rachel Renee Russell always manages to do.
2. I will make it sound more like her writing and more like how Nikki would ACTUALLY react to situations.
3. Not put so many insults MacKenzie or Nikki tell each other.
4. Make sure it is funny yet serious, romantic yet not so much, and better!
