Chapter Nine

I turn around & see Seth, Dean, & Emmie staring at us. I don't know what to say or how to act so I look off.

Why did he hug me like that? Why am I so freaking turned on right now?

My cell phone buzzes loudly, making me jump. I grab it quickly & answer it. It's my mom.

"Hay momma. How are you?" I ask walking out of the kitchen.

"Grandma!!" Emmie squeals.

I hold out my hand for Emmie & we walk into the bedroom. I close the door behind us.

*Roman's POV*

I rake my hands through my hair. I sigh as I take my seat again.

"OK dude what was that?" Jon asked.

"A hug what did it look like," I say smartly.

"Like you kissed her on the neck," Colby said.

"I didn't," I say defensively.

Colby threw his hands up. "Okay man."

I huffed & sat back in my chair.

"But you wanted to," Jon blurted out.

I just stare at him. He was right though. I almost kissed her neck. She smelled so good. I was intoxicated with the scent of cherries & vanilla on her. When she gripped me tight, I smiled. I couldn't help myself. I really thought she needed a hug so I gave her one & almost couldn't let her go.

"So, what's you point?" I snapped.

He stood to his feet.

"Stop flirting with her when I'm trynna get her," he said.

I smirked at Jon.

"Trynna get her. Don't you already have someone?" I ask.

"Guys chill," Colby said.

"Really Joe you wanna go there. What about you huh? Mr. Perfect," Jon said loudly.

"I'm not going to argue with you," I told him.

"Yeah because you know__," he says when Rita's bedroom door opens & she walks out.

"What's going on out here?" she asks.

She looks at Jon who's standing then she looks at me.

"Ask him," Jon said then took his seat.

She looks at me with her arms folded across her chest.

"Nothing just a disagreement between friends," I reply.

She continues to look at me. She looks at Jon then Colby.

"Whatever. Um, we gotta be in Tampa for Main Event & Smackdown. Hunter just called," she says.

"Okay, we gotta go pack our stuff," I say.

"Yeah so much for the lazy day," Colby said.

"Yeah well maybe another time," she smiled.

Jon walks up & gets real close to her.

"I'll hold you to that Ms. Rita," he says before he kisses her on the cheek.

He heads to the door with Colby behind him. I glare in Jon's direction before I walk to the door. I  shake my head before I grab her hand.
